That's a pretty fast setup, as far as mechanical HDDs go, but there's nothing "wow" about 8 hard drives getting the same sequential speed as 4 SSDs and about 2% of their random speed.

Also, a problem with CoreTemp that I searched the net a bit and could not find anything anywhere, which means that I don't know if it's a problem with the 32nm cpus, or with my cpu...
Now, if only you changed the topic from "i3 overclocking" to "dual core i3/i5 overclocking" to get more responses :D
I cannot find a thread for dual core i5 results :(

Excellent clocks and photos :D
All hard drives have a failure percentage, so I would not trust my data on any brand; I would trust it on multiple locations including some optical media and only store on a hard drive for quick...
Silverstone Sugo SG-05?
A true modder and one of the very few that I have seen here.
This hobby is full of kiddies with big budgets who buy brand new shiny cases and waterblocks and consider themselves modders...
This is superb, thank you for sharing the process and kudos for the results.
Obviously something based on the Zotac 775 board :)

Wow! Huge respect on the personal effort and work you've put on this project, buddy.
What started as loads of big & ugly square pieces of metal put together, is slowly transforming into something...
Aren't you planning to use the big ones for storage? If so, why RAID0? So that you can playback your mp3's faster maybe? :p
Power flunctuations won't kill a cell, they will kill whatever is on their way :)
How about running a quick benchmark, like SuperPi 1M. Anything under 20-25 seconds would mean that the cpu is not running at 800MHz. If it finishes the 1M test in >2 mins, then it's definitely not...
hehe well said.
Don't mind BenchZowner, he's got "loads of SSDs" but never the time to post any benchmarks, or even pictures to show that they exist
Any time you ask him for a test or a number, he will...

However I got the 8Gb version for ~$55 and it was the only SSD (or any type of drive) that could fit on the tiny Atom...
There is no way the 9650 can do 1Gb/sec, I just cannot believe it. That guy might be talking about burst speeds or anything else, except sustained speeds.
These look like Lian-Li was bought by NZXT :(

Because UK is known to be changing normal things to abnormal, just to be different.
Loads of ways of measurement in the UK are ancient, basically everything non-metric. I mean 16 ounces in a pound...
Or start playing WoW and eventually you will stop worrying about boredom xD
Have you ever seen 600Mb/sec read and 400Mb/sec write on a PERC5i? Or any 400MHz IOP333-based controller?
Why not go for an OEM Server, like Dell or HP? What are their uptime requirements for the server? If it goes boom, will they wait for you to replace a motherboard or a PSU? Can they wait for RMA?

Some inside info I happen to know: two new products around July this year; a low cost MLC product that will come in the "Mobi" line and a new high performance SLC addition to the "Pro" line. Both...
