XFX warranty is 2 years, If EVGA is now 3 years how is XFX better ?
It looks like flux left over from when the board was soldered.
Its got 8 sata ports :)
They seem pretty tacky and features like the killer nic are just a waste of time, Would much rather buy a EVGA or Asus ROG board, I'd be embarrassed to have such a tacky and gimmicky board lol I...
All three boards are previewed at http://www.techpowerup.com/ aswell
All Gigabyte boards sold in the UK come with a 3 year or more warranty, Gigabyte is the only motherboard manufacturer with a UK repair centre as well. Most motherboard I've sent have been returned...
The only thing I can think of is that the block is shorting out or causing an open circuit on the board with pressure when you tighten up the block, It could be that is it miss shaped in some way. If...
There is most likely a dry solder joint under or around the block.
Anyone know if it fits the Gene II ?
Standard ATX 12 in (305 mm) x 9.6 in (244 mm)
Rampage III 12 in (305 mm) x 10.6 (269 mm)
Extended ATX 12 in (305 mm) x 13 in (330 mm)
Its pretty close to ATX but slightly longer,...
EATX is the same width as normal ATX boards so an EATX should fit as the screw layout is the same, the board will just be closer to the front of the T60. It would be nice if someone with the T60...
Anyone tried a T60 with a EATX board yet, Rampage Extreme III ect ?
I was looking forward to the new version and upgrading my Gene II but with only USB 3.0 and SATA 6GBIT the rest of the board looks like a step back in terms of features.

I ripped apart my system and tryed my Gene with my SS, I havent got enought insulation to do the board fully at the moment so I cannot bench much as I dont want to kill my board :D

A mod really needs to ban is guy lol ^^
Hmm bent pins in the TP55 Xe socket, warranty void :D
It has next to nothing to do with the motherboard or the memory itself when trying to run ram @ 2000Mhz, You most likely have a weak memory controler on your CPU.
May be worth flashing the lastest BIOS and increasing your PCI-E clock as it might help.
Thats Driver Detective not HWiNFO :)
Where does the program tell you about upto date drivers ?
Board fully supports Raid 0, Raid 1 and Raid 5. I'm running 4 SSD in Raid 0 and 2 hard drives in Raid 1 without any issues.
