all i said was a cooler would help his current one isn't that great and you have decided he needs to spend more money to get a chip that will end up having the same exact problem because the root of...
so because your chip sucked his is doomed to it as well? i ran an e4300 to 4.5ghz on water without an issue maybe you just couldn't clock yours as well e5200 only got a few 100-200mhz more iirc heck...
what intel chip even used is $30? cant find an e5200 for that much even now
$30 he could get this chip clocked a smidge bit more extend its life and down the road shove that cooler onto...
in all honesty the V1 is garbage for air cooling look into a hyper212 if you want cheap better...my e4500 hit a bit higher but was on a P5Q-pro
I said leave it if you read my post if its stable its not overheating temp sensor is probably just wrong.
Wait so because a less stressful stress test didn't heat it as much the chip is magically ok?
check what your motherboard says the temp is in the BIOS or with a windows based client if that doesn't read 70C then your probably fine.
check the motherboard probe as well if its stable i don't think its running quite that high
no thats not a normal temp thats quite high...maybe the thermal probe is incorrect
