Have used both res. and t-line but personally found t-line is a way to go. Never use res.ever since.

I can do "almost" everything with my q6600@3.2 except prime. It failed very hard, shut itself off....
@minsc_tdp. what ram slot you're in now? is it the 3rd (blue) one? I heard that the 3rd slot causes / killed some ram.

Good choices for your rig. As for mounting, IMO, it doesn't matter as long as it'll be easy for you. Just T-line before pump, the other doesn't matter,as long as it's shortest and less or...
IMO. Cathar's G7 would be the best block,wishing to own one. I registered my interest to Cathar since day one he announces it'll be available and I still do.
