Hello
Please see the thread linked below. Specifically post #60. I don't remember if the Z87-A has BIOS Flashback. If not you will need a different CPU to flash the BIOS if the board is not...
Hello
You're Welcome. :)
Hello
Those are memory related errors. 2800MHz memory speed using the 125 strap will result in DMI, PCIe and so on at only slightly more than 100MHz. You may need to adjust VCCSA to get past those...
Hello
Load the 2800 XMP profile. The board will select the 125 strap and properly set the needed BCLK for 2800MHz memory speed.
Hello
You're welcome. :)
Hello
The G3258 is supported with BIOS version 1302 or newer on the Z87-K.
Hello
Thanks Charles. Good info. Along with cache speed memory clocking seems to be far better with the ASUS boards also.
Hello
Seems easy enough to find.

Hello
As with most all international corporations ASUS is divided into inter-corporation companies based on location. These separate entities have fixed resources and budgets for support of their...
Hello
The EPS connector is rated at 9A per pin. 54 amps total on the R5E should be plenty except for the users wanting to kill hardware by hammering the system with Prime type programs.
Hello
Raja did not need to do any fix. The sound work fine once the card was installed. He also tested with SLI and found no issues with the sound.
Hello
Sure it does (ROG Connect port). The needed info can be found in the motherboard manual.
Hello
M.2/SATA Express are tied to the PCH so have no influence on devices using PCIe lanes from the CPU.
Hello
There is not one for the CPU PCIe lanes. A PLX chip is used for the PCH PCIe lanes.
Unfortunately it is doubtful this will happen. With the combination of XP being EOL and the platform not supporting it there is little incentive for any XP fix.
Hello
This type of issue requires one on one support between you and an ASUS tech acting as a go between to the engineers. Raja is the only ASUS employee offering tech support in this thread and...
Hello
0x02 is normally an operating system or driver error. As you are seeing the BSOD when the PSU is at the point of shutting down also points to an operating system issue. The operating system...
Nice to see you still building these Ron. As always an example of what a proper build should look like.
I apologize that did not answer your questions. Everything you wrote referenced bottoming out the thumb screws not "how tight is too tight". How tight is a matter of feel and comes with experience....
When using the 380i you do not bottom out the thumb nuts. Below is from the instructions included with the block. If the mounting system was designed to bottom out this info would not be necessary.
Below is the Trident X version of the Ripjaws.

As the Reds are designed for NAS use head parking is disabled.
No. An AMD chipset created array is no going to be able to be moved to an Intel platform without recreating the array.
Doubtful. This thread is for ASUS motherboards.
