Right, but you said that the card NEEDS both the 8pin and 6pin connectors and this is obviously not the case. I wasn't arguing that it will draw more power.

From what I hear the R600 can use two 6pin or one 8pin for power... It's doesn't need an 8pin and 6pin, or has this rumor been quenched?

What? The 8600gts is averaging at around $200 some down to $190.. By the time June rolls around I'd be willing to bet that they will be in the $150-160 range.

You can get a 8600gt for $120 right...

Why? There are no direct comparison shots. I could take a screenshot of a wall with a 6600GT and get more fps.
