Man, according to what you're saying, the solder you're using is just a soft solder and shouldn't be used in this application IMO.
Very nice build, but tell me guys why you use those expensive silver rods instead of cheap Silfoss (bronze ones)?
Man, thats nothing new :D . It's nothing more than a poor SLHX
Won't 03 orifice be too big?
But this way you aren't sure if you are supplying the TXV with onlky liquid refrigerant. I think i know what Piotrek means and i think the same.
CO2 and propane won't form a blend. This kind of a mixture can be only successfully used in an Autocascade or a SS with a subcooler.
Very nice and clean build.
But why do you use these long automotive hoses with all the adapters instead of using normal refrigeratin hoses? Shorter hoses make your the vaccum times shorter.
It's very similiar with some other drop-ins. They also contain some hydrocarbons in order to make them work with different oil. Many people hera at XS mix R404a/507 with propane/isobatane to make it...
Hi!
GL40AA
Captube:0,8mm 150cm
12CM Fan condenser
HX: 150cm of 10mm OD pipe

I always use brass rods + borax as flux for joining steel with steel/brass/copper.
I think his static pressure will be lower than saturation pressure so he wont have liquid in the hoses when the unit doesn't operate.
I'll take care of the insulation in a few days. And yes I have to admit it looks terrible:down:
Regarding mixing R290, I did so for oil circulation ( using mineral oil here )
I just don't have stronger load tester that's why tested only at 115W, but the unit should handle much bigger load ( I used short captube and a lot of refrigerant)
BTW Poland is my location
Hi!
I wanna show you my latest DD system. It is finished except for the insulation on suction acumulator.
Specs:
-Aspera T6215Z
-Alu/Cu Condenser
-Captube: 0,8 240 cm
-Refigerant:R404a/R290...
Critical pressure:
"The least applied pressure required at the critical temperature to liquefy a gas."
Chiller is almost finished, cooling my poor Sempron 3000+@2,7Ghz/1,8V. I don't want to go below the dew point so I stayed at 8-10*C. I am buying a thermostate in a few days.
If you look at the low side gauge then you'll see there's about 0,1-0,2 bar pressure, so not runnin in vaccum. It was just idle temp, when there's water loop connected so that te system is under load...
Dunno why its double posted
Here's the inside
Hi!
I'd like to show you my mini chiller based on a little Electrolux GL40AA 1/10HP. Heat exchanger is made of 5,5 metres of 1/4" OD pipe. Cap i 1,5m 0,8mm(0,031"). Charged with isobutane. The goal...

What filler did you use? Did you dismantle the valve before soldering, I guess so:)
BTW. I have the same valve manufactured by Castel to be brazed in few days:)
Won't a torch melt these metals?
I think he meant charging the cascade with CO2 and adding another refrigerant to avoid Dry_Ice forming
Right?
You're wrong! Look just above the propane reg, there's a flashback arrestor:)
