Crucial has been tossing them on their value line for ages. The PC6400 value used exclusively D9GKX for a long time (for the last year or thereabouts), however I suspect they may have changed them...

Try timings 4-5-4-X and 5-6-5-X. One of the other threads on this forum suggests that these ic's clock much higher with the looser tRCD.
My P5B-D was doing that. Remove battery overnight didn't help so sent to RMA :(
Couldn't get this method to work when I tried it myself. I did have some success jamming the faulty stick in before windows loaded though :)
Possibly it works on some motherboards and not on...
Mine was stable at around 3.8Ghz on air, highest clocks (bench pi 1m) were 4.05Ghz on air and 4.35Ghz on stock vapochill.
The B1 ES chips were more desirable when core 2 duo first went to retail...
So far as i'm aware there's only one P5W64, the pro one which supports conroe. Asus website appears to confirm this.

I wouldn't go for any of the other ones. So far as I'm aware none of the others have micron IC's, except perhaps the supertalent... although you've just said that they don't.
I would choose the cellshock for those same reasons :)
As far as I know they are the exactly the same chip but are binned lower than D9GMH (and D9GKX)

I've a new Pioneer dvd burner which was also very slow for no apparent reason on my P5B-D. Updated the firmware from pioneers website and it now works perfectly. Worth a try ;)

I agree, although for all of an extra quid you could get something with decent D9GMH chips on it... rather than promos (or whatever it is corsair uses on those 6400 modules).

I've some DCD also, running at the moment 2.6v for 24/7 although I did run them for about 5 days at 2.9v (lazy me). Not noticed any degredation yet. One thing I did notice was that at 2.9v the dimms...
The change in voltage should show in the bios and in windows, Whether it would be correct or not is another matter. Even a stopped clock shows the right time twice a day.
I would expect lower temps than that myself at 1.3v although yes I beleive TAT reads from each core.
U could try raising your vcore a little, keep an eye on temps. You could also try raising the MCH / FSB voltage to see if that gives any gain :)
Am I missing something here? E6400's are not E6600's...

I agree, I did rather get the impression he wasn't talking 24/7 though, just from the wording "will it reach 3.6Ghz". I may be wrong.
