It helps you calculate the impact of every score in the total score. Of course those calculations are pure theoretically (ex: with the same VGA but different CPU you will have different SM2/3 scores)...
sorry to "revive" this thread but I have a question : QX6700 has the Ratio Status (in bios) locked or not?
Thanks.
1. Happy new year ;)
2. Check the manual at page 15
3. Try to exchange those 2x512 kits with a 2x1GB Ballistix kit, it suits best your needs (high frequency with low latency and low voltage)
From what I've heard the Asrock Conroe 865PE has bios overclocking options although quite limited... It would be nice to see if any of them can handle a higher multi on a x6800 ;) ...
P4P800-SE did "stock" ~300FSB (at least mine)... P4C800 also managed 280+ without problems...
ontopic - this is the kind of mobo that's made for mods ;)
a E4400 with BSEL mod and a clean vmod...
Core but environment temp was under 15 degrees :D
I said... unmodded and CPU air cooled... I don't think that the link you posted is important since it's in a total different category ...
yeap :D... I must change the conductive "cream" under the NB and put some bigger blowers on the whole setup ;)
Temps outside : 'round 5-7 degrees ... inside : dunno :(
'round 67-69 at the time of those benches :D
For all I know this motherboard is pretty limited in FSB since it works with 1066 strap... I think I got a "little" lucky
Thanks to Micutzu who was crazy enough to push vcore up to 1.7V...
I used the same method described here ... it worked like a charm ! :hehe:
30 degrees in idle - 42 degrees full load and a plus of 30MHz for benching :D (no vmods of any kind  )
25.312 s...
I think that your goal should be this one ;)
Spec:
P4P800SE unmodded
Zalman CNPS7000A-Cu
2x512MB Twinmos SP3500@255.6 2-2-2-5@3.4V via ocz Booster
room temperature : ~5 degrees :p: (the...
My celyD 315 prompted a good 4.25GHz SPi score on air ;) (Arctic freezer 4, 14-15 degrees reported inside the case :D)
it's a shame my booster doesn't help :(
The "bigger" versions of CellyD...
any sheet/picture available for a sck478 Pentium 4 to compare ?
I think this top is useless unless you're introducing in a way the factor memory frequency and latency... My dottie scores only 37.305
26.265*2840.7/2000 = 37.305492
it should be interesting to see these sticks next to a dottie:hrhr:
nice work btw
Tested P-M 740 with Shuttle AB60N rev 1.2 bios AB60S00Y => no post :(
I'll test soon the 740 I own on my Shuttle AB60 and get back to you...
ok... new setup:
P-M 740, P4P800-SE bios 1010, Twinmos Twister PC3500 (my booster doesn't work properly unfortunatelly :( and that's why I have this small PSB  )
so far... this is what I...
check pics ;) for CellyD stuff (air-cooled by SLK948u)
PS: check voltages too :)
congratz for the clock but the score isn't so fancy
my 315 (sck478) @3.825 (FSB 225 1:1 2-2-2-5 air cooled with SLK948U) scored 39.98 ... Try some 1:1 tests as FUGGER suggested... it should go lower...
my history with Cely T:
Celeron Tualatin 1.1A (can't remember the stepping)
Abit ST6
Infineon PC133 CL2
Crappy look-alike D5TB cooler
Ran fine for more than a year at 140 1:1 (ram 2-2-2-5/7)...
Ugly - I had C2PT v4.3 with TCC5 on my IC7 with 2.4C L321 1:1 @ 283 2.5-3-3-5 (you'll need a good PSU though because those sticks were kinda unstable with my variable voltages)
I also had A-Data...
go with the 3.0E ... it's cheaper and at least for 1-2 years you shouldn't worry 'bout having problems...
CB - thanks for the offer but i'm looking for the cheaper models (1.5-1.8) ...
I'll keep you posted as long as I'll find more details 'bout the shipping ...
