I had to use a regular PCI video card to do a Award BIOS recovery. Booted a floppy and flashed it no problems. I never did it with a AMI BIOS but it still has a boot block if you did not mess that...
Conroe based CPUs were used to make Cars. I know they said that at the IDF but there was not really that much publicity about it. I'm sure it was just for real world testing so Pixar probably got a...
Are both connected to the same monitor? I just found an unusual compatibility problem with one of my monitors and 8800 cards maybe this is similar.
Nvidia seen how well Atom is selling and they want some of that money. If they don't someome else will.
I guess I should reinstall Vantage now that I have a 4870?
This whole thing just makes Futuremark more and more irrelevant.
Why would anyone want to be first? If nothing else can use it it is useless.
VIA needs this to sell well, after all it lost them their chipset business already.
It is somewhat misleading. IF the 4870x2 is twice as fast as the 3870x2 it would win half of those tests and the GTX'es would only have solid wins in two.
You don't even need to connect it. It's just for better power delivery to the video card.

I have it on a MSI P35 Platinum. I like this chip.
I got one, Q810A055 with a VID of 1.025. 1.35v for 9x440.
I know of many quotes of AMD outright lying over the past few years. But that's OK.
WOW, that is great NEWS.
Thank you Informal.
I seen slayer once--I still her the 60hz hum of all their Marshal stacks, I hope they found a good sound man by now. They sucked. And BTW, they opened for Judas Priest (Ram It Down I think.) They...
I found a site that said I only need like 340w for my overclocked quad core build. I had been using a OCZ 700w but swapped it to put it in another case waiting for my new motherboard and some other...
Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L and Abit IP35V are great cheap mobos. It's hard to find a good 650w PSU for $75. This Silverstone is showing $80 after rebate. You may want to spend more around $100 on a PSU.
The memory slots are still too close to the video card.
I'm not sure about AMI BOIS, but with Award BIOS when it's corrupted you can boot with a PCI video card (not PCI-E) and it will still boot a floppy then you can reflash. I just did that to my Tforce...
AnyDVD HD
Users have been unlocking video cards forever and I think it has proved good for video card sales. If Creative really does not want features enabled they need to physically disable them.
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=5754635 - still stuck at 39
I think running 256mb(-video 32mb RAM) stalls 3dmark. Running with just 16mb video RAM gave me the unbelievable score of...
Dang, my comps been stuck on one frame all day and it didn't crash--I alt-tabbed right out of it.
I have submitted a 39, working a 5 now...
I think it will take all day to run.
It needs dx9.
I'm down to 39.
