been a while since i have been in the game dont know what sort of wattage you need to hold these days, maybe start around 3.3m 0.031" to cut down, think 2.7m will be high capacity but it too high...

Unit up n running. Just need to finish the insulation and fine tune the unit under load.
Not bad almost did a cascade in a few days...
the cascade i was building is on hold as havnt heard from the owner for a few months

Cant remember now last time i picked up the blow torch, but it felt really good to do it again, especially first build back being a cascade.

looking good noob love the metal work mate, think think straight r23 or would be the go and r404a stage one
that or try a 20, ive use all 3 before worked well as long as flooded
i wear earplugs when i bench my rotary cascade for 5-6 hrs :D
its hard to speak to friends that are around during the benching session with earplugs in though :shakes:
also ya need to stick...
i have found that the exit temp of the heat exchange even at -45c isnt always the best situation for high load units
its more about the temperature into the plate hx, -30c into the hx and -35 to...

commercial controllers are great they have a exponential temp display, the colder you go the more colder the controller displays temps
as long as its hold temps constantly you will get a very nice...
cascade daily use only way to go :up:
nice work gray, good luck with getting it to hold load and some decent numbers, even -60c to -70c would be awsome
