One thing, that video card doesn't have dual DVI... monitors without HDMI are less expensive so I was hopefully going to go that route.

Thanks guys, i'm not sure that I will have much use for the GPU. I know matlab can take advantage of CUDA but i'm not sure I will need that much power. I could go for a lower model if needed.

I think AMD is the cheaper way to go here but i'm not thrilled about the ratings on that mobo.
