The main costs are for R&D, they are developing something that currently doesn'tt exist, and that is expensive. The cost for the parts to build the machines is nothing when compared to the R&D costs

He's obviously reffering to a history of problems with nVidia when he makes that comment, its not directed towards that single incompatibility with the laptop gpu.

Anything other than the original colour will look stupid to be honest, i would try to find a way to get the same purple colour. Many places mix custom paints for you these days :)
