cool, I won a flash drive :)
I just hope it will stop crashing. I had to uninstall Vista from my new laptop because the Wacom service would crash after half an hour of usage or so.
Registered and voted :) Good luck guys!
tried several keywords that didn't return any results (and "escape velocity" definitely should). seems useless to me until they do a *lot* more work on it
I got onto mozilla.com just fine, but I'm only seeing FF2 up for download.
I updated through Microsoft Update and it worked just fine. I haven't noticed any difference from SP2 however, besides that it now says SP3.
can students sign up for this? I'd love a free copy of Visual Studio, but I see that it says this is for IT Professionals.
If you're talking about the energy that it saves in one hour, then yes, it would be 12 watt-hours. However, I think the simplest way is to say that it just saves 12watts.
It's like replacing a...
If you really want to get picky about it, it doesn't draw 540kW in one hour; it draws 540kJ (kilojoules). W = J/s, joules are a measurement of energy, watts are a measure of joules per second.

Survey sent. Lucky number is 7!
It says DisplayPort, but I don't see one on the card.
I agree, that depth of field effect is just plain annoying.
There is definitely a formula, otherwise you could just type in anything and it would activate. I'm guessing the range of whatever function they used simply wasn't large enough, so they're making...
Wow, interesting. Guess I'll wait for them to come out with an IFX Extreme :)
Thanks for the great comparison
*edit* Do you have a Ultra 120 (non-Extreme) that you could test against it? It...
I've been running Rosetta. From a science point of view any reason to switch to WCG? I mean, I know both projects are working on different stuff, but I see that XS is pretty much focused on WCG...
If you want to avoid RMAs I wouldn't go over 2.2v, I tried to run my OCZ up to the warranted voltage (2.35v) and it died. Lucky they replaced it. But now I don't run my RAM over 2.2v, and it's been...
Anyone else think this is strange?
Yet they claim that their CPU idled at 85/86F...
It's not a mistake. They're taking $5 advances to reserve a processor for you. You still have to pay the full price.
*edit* very misleading title btw. I suggest you change it.
I would have to agree that Linux isn't ready for the desktop market. Not yet at least. I started using Ubuntu as a secondary OS when 6.06 came out, and I couldn't get it to recognize my monitor as...
Well, it just started having problems a week ago which I've been trying to troubleshoot. The PSU died, but after replacing it the computer worked fine for a day and then I got a long repeating beep...
The fan on my NF7-S chipset just died. Any suggestions for a replacement? It's not heavily overclocked, only to 186 MHz FSB, so I just need something cheap that will get the job done.
