The next official BIOS release should have some more memory compatibility/stability fixes.
I have been running a test BIOS for a while now and it is even more stable than the 0405 bios is.
Have you tried the 0904 or 1002 BIOS? Both claim increased stability.
Have you tried running LinX on the 4GB test? I am betting it will bomb out within a few minutes.

My BIOS doesn't have the overcurrent protection setting. I also have tried turning off all power saving features in BIOS as well as Windows.
