Yes, that is how I found my way here Cole. Thanks
Looking good so far. Nice of you to share images as the project progresses.
Any time on the compliments. Credit where credit is due I always say. :toast:
Far as the rack goes ,,, I find that hard to believe. With your skills I think you could easily make a very nice HDD...
Great project endscape. :toast:
As a retired master machinist who worked as a sheet metal mechanic for a time I can say that you definitely have some skills.
One question though. Any particular...
:yepp: :bows:   :woot:
Dude, I am not disputing the differences you mentioned. Only that just
because it has a different intake, stroke, or compression ratio doesn't make
it a completely different engine.
Sure the 326...
My copy of "The Big Little GTO Book" is well worn thank you.
A better reference book would be the "Pontiac GTO Restoration Guide" by Zazarine & Roberts.
Both of which I have met in person...
Hmmm ... I can see the usual misconceptions about Pontiac engines preside here - big block/small block
Nope. If you place a 301 and 455 block side by side you would soon discover they...
While it's true they were not the fastest cars off the showroom, I have always been partial
to the late '60's GM muscle cars.
Pontiac Tempest GTO - Oldsmobile Cutlass F-85. Both '69's. :D

Interesting stuff. I am going to have to read those technical docs to see how
they align the graphite since we all know it only conducts heat well across one plane.
Many thanX for performing the test & sharing your results Fairydust. :toast:
BTW ....... the reason Brasso works to remove traces of this product is because of the
abrasive properties....

Thanx for posting Onyx_6800LE.
Since the thread starter seems to be absent I'll add my two cents on the subject.
As stated earlier, I have performed a fair amount of experimentation with my own diamond
based pastes over the...
Leadtek 6800le = $100 refurbished ... $124 new.

Works great for me. :D
Disabling that test doesn't do anything for the default core clock issue.
Like you said don, if you cannot OC after the unlock procedure the pipes are bad.
This may or may not be overcome by...
^_^ oh, well that makes sense - lol - my mistake. :D
You are going to RMA the card just because it doesn't unlock? Finger shake indeed. :nono: ... j/k :D
Unlocking & OCing success is luck with any brand.
That's a huge price difference. I'd go for the Leadtek, if nothing else for their
cooler design. BFG and their pre-OC is a marketing gimmick IMO.
Good choice. I'd go with the NU for the reasons Sickapotamus presented.
If you plan to use stock cooling I'd humbly suggest the Leadtek for it's sink design. :)
Now that I don't know.
You are correct, except the NU has 5 shaders instead of 4 and has a
slightly faster stock GPU clock.

That sux. Only thing I can think of is you can try flashing your BIOS to
get more voltage. Some have had success getting rid of very minor artifacting
that way. Don't think it will help in your...
It's my understanding that AS5 is OK on the RAM in 6800 cards because the chips
don't have exposed legs.
