Yes, and I remember when ATi released the X1900 XTX for 649usd.
It had 25MHz more on the core than the X1900 XT and 50 more on the ram yet it was +100usd over the XT.
Valid result for my 7970 and 3570k in Fire Strike-

My 6300 will hit 8632 KB/s @ 4990MHz. It will do around 8335 KB/s @ 4669MHz. Wish I had better ram.

I'm running an FX 6300 at just over 4.6GHz 1.41v 24/7 on air. I like it.

I like the below G. Skill 2x4Gb kit a good deal.

I'm just running slightly over 2133 with it @ 10-11-10-29 1T 1.63v
...
Made it to 7723 KB/s. FX 6100 @ 5087.2MHz, Ram 869.6MHz 8-8-8-24, NB 2608.8MHz.

7501 KB/s is the best I've been able to hit so far. That's with my FX 6100 @ 4956.4MHz, my ram @ 1043.5MHz 10-11-10-28 and my NB @ 2608.7MHz. Screenshot linked below.

I tried beta 3, I don't have 2. Anyway, below is what I got with my FX 6100. I'm using a direct link to the image because when I use the forum format/link from imageshack it blurs terribly. It's 7350...
I always found the below kind of amusing.

That was actually on the Assassin mobo.
Does anyone have a BIOS for the Asus DirectCU II version of the HD 7970 they'd be willing to share?
I was trying my old Acer 120Hz LCD again tonight with some games. I love how fluid it is.
What annoys me is the gamma shift. A color seems accurate in the middle of the screen, too light at the...
I was getting odd BSODs on my AMD system. Turned out to be the Intel LAN drivers. I tried the official ones and BETAs. Nothing resolved the issue. I replaced it with a PCI-e network card and all...
I'm working on getting the below stable now. 4.3GHz is perfectly fine.

An overclocked 960T would not hold back a 7970 in BF3.

If you want to possibly unlock a 960T try the Biostar TA990FXE for 130usd.
I've a 960T in my CHV that runs fine. It does 4.3GHz on air, I can't successfully unlock it though.

I suppose if nothing works you could contact Asus and get another BIOS chip. Swapping them is easy.
They're also probably on fleabay and they may be overpriced.
I love my 960T. Got it for 115usd off of Newegg. I can almost do 4.5GHz and I'm unwilling to use more voltage.

I'm perfectly happy with this OCed 960T I got for 115usd in gaming. Wish I could get it to unlock successfully though, and whatever. It's fine for gaming and general use.
Ya' me too. I'm probably going to jump on a 2600k. I may wait on IB though.
Ya' I've been running my NB @ 2500+ with my ram @ 2100+. The NB at 2700 or higher just doesn't work well for me. Doesn't seem stable. I never increased voltages on it though. I only increased vcore...
I plan on running 4.6 myself. I can boot and use 5.0GHz fine, however I'm not even going to try to stress test that on air cooling.

I bought one to play with myself for the heck of doing so. I've not taken a swing at 5.0GHz and 4.6GHz @ 1.45 is easy. I'm on air and am a bit concerned about trying higher. I may though.
...
So I'm guessing swinging @ 4.6 with something like an FX 6100 would require water cooling too.
6100 is in the below review.
