GPU-Z indicates 100% GPU usage in games with my current HD4850 512DDR3. Guess I definitely need something better. :)
I have
cpu: c2d @ 4GHz
monitor: 17" 1280x1024, but hope to change it to some 22" soon
Would a gtx560 (non Ti) be alright for this overclocked cpu? If not, please recommend one.
Hope cpu won't...
OK, I picked up the cpu, mobo and mem and OC'd it.

I raised Vcore to 1.36V. Rest of the voltages were left at AUTO.
By leaving them on AUTO does it mean they get increased...
I was talking here about a specific cpu I've been offered to buy.
Mobo should be able to do 10x400. Most can do 420mhz as I've read... I was just wondering about this particular cpu if you think it...
Hello!
I'm thinking of purchasing a used e7300, Asus p5ql-e, 2x2gb ddr2 kingston hyperx pc800. I was told it runs 3.6ghz stable on stock voltage and Intel stock cooler.
My question to you is:...
Any suggestions for a 939 mobo which can handle 300+ mhz fsb (beside already mentioned ones)?
Thanks!
I just tried 10x290 and it works just fine. :) Gonna go see how this goes...
Hmm... wouldn't boot with 10x300. Maybe my DDR400 cas 2.5 ram is the problem since now at 10x295 it's at 246Mhz (cas 3...
Hello!
My system is:
Athlon64 X2 4200+ s939 @ 2.9GHz,
ASROCK 939Dual-Sata2,
2x1GB Kingston VR DDR400,
ATi HD4850 512GDDR3,
Tagan SuperRock 680W,
Monitor resolution 1280x1024.
Hello!
I need help, please, getting my cpu to 3GHz stable. Currently at 2.97GHz a bit unstable.
Also, the difference between core temps at idle is about 8-9C (currently 27 and 35C). Thought...
I didn't know they made them that thick. :)
Hello all!
I have a 4870 cooler on my 4850 card. It covers mem chips also, but there's almost like 1mm gap between, so they're not in contact. Any way of adding some thick thermal pads so they...
Problem solved!
I needed Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High Definition Audio (sp32646).
Got it HERE, installed it, went to Device Manager and right clicked on it...
I've found out that it is ATI High Definintion Audio device. It's built into graphics card which is why it's sharing resources. This driver is used to drive Audio over HDMI to a TV.
I downloaded...
Hello!
I Have an Asrock 939Dual-SATA2 motherboard with both AGP and PCI-e slots. Today I decided to swap my HD3850 AGP with HD4850 PCI-e card. Uninstalled previous catalyst drivers, put 4850 card...
I knew about that mod already. I just didn't think it was easy (at least not for me) so I decided to go with the 3.2V one instead (with resistors). But after reading your first post, looks like i'll...
Thanx for the comment and suggestion. Could you, please, be a bit more specific about that other way of doing it, so I know what to google for? Thanx again! :)
Hello everyone,
I'd like to try a Vdimm mod on Asrock 939Dual-Sata2 mobo as shown in this pic
But 3.13-3.2V is too much for my 2.6V Kingston Value Ram (2.7V atm), so I'd like to add resistors...
I prefer my fps being above refresh rate of my monitor, so I avoid enabling Vsync. :)
OK, I didn't know that disabling Catalyst AI = disabling one GPU. I've done it since enabling both GPUs makes my screen flicker in most games like crazy. Now I'm back to "crossfire" and trying to...
I've put Ai on "disable" long time ago since enabling it makes my screen flash and glitter. Don't know how it could help in disabling one GPU.
There is no CF option in CCC with one card. Only had it before when I used two 4850 cards.
Hello all!
I was just wondering if it was possible somehow to turn off one gpu when needed? Asking because some games do not support dual gpus and work better with just one.
Thank you in...
Maybe I won't be needing aftermarket coolers after all. I blew out all the dust that's been gathering between heatsink fins for months, and lowered the temps by 50 degrees C in full load! :D
