You can put 1.4v on wolfdale without getting into bios by using XMP profile. Board "auto tunes" so it'll put enormous voltage to ensure stability.

jcool, ram has nothing to do with what board decides to set. Board sets fsb to make memory running at ram frequency included in XMP profile, and board decides voltage for nb/cpu necessary to run that...

XMP does not include VTT voltage.

I said about stock vtt/vcore. Its the voltage difference that is crucial.

You can buy old Athlon or Phenom with IMC, put enormous memory voltage with stock vtt/vcore and prove for yourself.

On AM3 there will be same low voltage memory stuff.

Every Qimonda i seen loves very low voltage, and scales with CAS latency only. This is either Elpida or Micron, but as i have seen lots of Microns on Bufallo modules used, and 2.1v would make sense...
