In 10-20 years this AMD cpu will be worth way more than 4770 or even 3970.. So it has something going for it.

Intel's OC started falling away since moving to 22 nm. We have yet to see AMD cpu on 22..

I have no problem with this, but I am sure many will..
I do not think it will be too bad - a bit more than 2 times the number of pixels (1080p vs 720p) for 5 times the GPU power.. But the memory speed baffles me.
What about HEVC, any difference there?
My experience with Acer M3 581TG was just the opposite - great cooling, even in games, so it is more to this specific notebook than anything else.
Is it just my bad memory or did some other test show much less improvement in Cinebench than what we see here with Coolaler?
Maybe the difference in games will be higher in lower resolutions/settings. Does MediaCoder use AVX or quicksync?

I had a few 2600K CPUs with problems.. But those were after a year or so at constant 60-80% CPU load. Warranty to the rescue.
All 3770s are just humming along for now. No overclock, naturally.
