Thanks. Unfortunately, I can't get 12.9 to install: it tells me that it's not supported. I looked at the driver, and it shows Intel C600 chipset driver 3.6, which is the only one that works (from...
Can you tell me what OS and driver version you are using?
Agreed. Most shutdown errors tend to be driver related.
Anybody else?
I've noticed that a lot of Xeon chips are being listed as supported on the Asus P9X79 Pro board (assuming others as well). Anyone here have a Xeon chip on their X79 board? I'm interested in picking...
New BIOS. This one's for the Pro:

Thanks. I'll give that a shot when I get home.
Can you list any changes updates made in this version? I'm curious if it resolvbes an issue I've been having with Core Temp since I've moved to Windows 8.
I'm using a G15 ver 1 keyboard with LCD...
Yep, this fixt it thnx
Thanks for the tip. I am familiar with troubleshooting shutdown issues, but I've never seen something like this where the PC actualy shuts off the power supply then powers it back on. All other...
Anybody? Raja?
Earlier this week I took my system down to do many updates*, including a BIOS update. I went from 2104 to 3305, but now have problems shutting down the PC. When I click "shutdown" from the OS the...
Has anyone tested the new Dominator Patinum sticks on their X79?
Any benefit to using these drivers over the enterprise version on the Asus site?
Sounds like the system may be booting too quickly to recognize the drive for the OS. There should be a boot delay in the BIOS, but I don't remember the name off-hand.
Anyone else have any thoughts on the new BIOS files for the X79 series? I just noticed there are a 1010 and 1104 for my X79 Pro.
Currently running stock on everything with the 4x4GB Corsair Vengeance 1600's running at Auto except for changing the speed to 1600. I think the only other thing I changed in the BIOS was to...
lol, you're not the only one. I was really worried when I wasn't even gettig a POST code on the debug LED.
Any thoughts on what may have changed in the BIOS revisions that could cause the blank...
Nevermind, I was able to figure out the boot issue. Turns out while I was moving things around and pulling out tubing the 8-pin motherboard cable came loose from the power supply. :am:
Hopefully...
OK, I have developed an issue with my X79 pro. The board was running normally since I got it, and it was on the 802 BIOS that it came with. I had downloaded the 906 when it first came out, but...
I don't think The Coolest would agree. Busting his ass trying to make this run for everyone under the sun for free? Buying hardware for testing constantly? I agree that it sucks to have bloatware...
if more people were willing to donate, then the bloatware probably wouldn't be necessary
Still don't have the stock 2011 kit from Watercool for my Heatkiller, and I've been using some bolts I picked up at the hardware store. First mount I did not like, as I think I did not have enough...
I've seen several posts lately that say up to 4.5GHz with little extra voltage, but then they need bigger bumps in voltage to go 4.6-5+GHz.
