Shuttle Columbia Disintegrates on Re-Entry. Very Sad AM

This has nothing to do with overclocking or anything PC related, just wanted to tell you to turn on the news. The Shuttle Columbia has disintegrated over the skies of Texas at 8AM. While re-entering Earth's atmosphere 30 miles up at 12,000MPH, it seems to have suffered some sort of explosion, or possibly heat tiles were damaged causing a fire, or damging systems. Their telling people to stay away from the debris, as theres very posionous gases eminating from the debris.
Although I'm not terribly religious, I am spiritual, and will pray for their souls.
And for the News (gossip-mongerers) indicating terrorism, I hope a piece land on their heads. I apologize to the Moderators, and of course you have to move this, but thought they deserved mention. And more people use this part of the forum then any other. I thought maybe we could just acknowledge the people who most likely died.

Truely sad indeed! I feel for the families of those onboard.:(

Yeah, sorry I stuck it here, just thought people might want to know. I'll delete it later. Thank's for leaving it.

Actually I moved it, but the link is still in the original spot. Don't worry about where to put these kinds of things, just post it and let us worry about it;)

Very sad day indeed....I almost feel like I knew KC, I saw her so many times on different programs about the Shuttle.

I cannot find the words to express my feelings right now.

Ironic the cost given for the course of the project they took on... nothing gained from zero risk. ED @ Overclockers said it best on the front page. What makes even more isck is people trying to sell the stuff on EBAY.. the auction was pulled but had 30+ bids on it.. FARK covered it.

Some people will do anything for a buck. The funny part is these people who went out and grabbed piece of the shuttle don't realize that the silicon tiles can be toxic and might possibly give them some form of cancer. If so, they deserve it. Sick people.

one thing that gets my goat.. is that shuttle was very old. With all the money nasa has why cant they make a NEW shuttle with all the tech that is out now. i mean they had computers onboard from the 70's.. if they wouldnt have used old shuttles over and over i think that might of helped.

But yes it is very sad. i was sleeping most of the day. and my mom woke me up and told me. was very sad.

one thing noted is thata there are 3 guys up in space currently, and nasa doesnt have a fail-safe way to go get them and bring them home. what scares me is that nasa last time after they lost a shuttle put the launching space program on hold for 2 years. those guys only have enough food till june. im not sure if nasa has a shuttle able to go get them, if not they do not have alot of time to make one and launch it up there to go save them.

i hope, nasa gets something done fast. cuz nothing will get better if they dont step up to the newer age and try and fix these things from happening.

the news did say something interestings but didnt go into detail.. "the space shuttle's data recorder Recorded data moments before the explosion." -i personaly think that nasa knows something they havent told the public.. that sound kinda scary. i doubt it could have been terriorests, but the way the news said it, made it seem like nasa is hideing something.

well i hope the familys can live through this. must be very hard.
A man is not suppose to cry in life in hes strong, but when something happeneds that hurts america i think its time to cry.

I know that the Russians sent a supply shuttle up on sunday (day after Columbia crashed) so the guys on the International Space Station should be ok for a bit.

Very sad to here it here in England. Heard about it when I got in from work. Was all over TV.
