Help searching...and overclocking P3 866
I hate to start another thread..."How high can I get my P3 866 coppermine on air" but the search feature won't take strings shorter than 4 characters.
1) How do you guys search for OCing tips on "P3" "1GHz" "OC" etc? 2) My P3 866 won't go higher than 910 (140MHz FSB, up from 133) on a Soyo SY-7IS2 that supports FSB 133/ 135/ 137/ 138/ 140/ 142/ 144/ 150/ 155MHz Any tips? It has a 256MB CL2 Crudial DIMM w/ RAM sinks, and a Volcano 7 + TMD. |
Same here m8...
Volcano 6 (non copper), dual P3 866 on an ECS D7VAA+ (or summat like that). Theyll both do 910 day in day out at default volts. 945 is stable in win2k, 990 for a quick 3dmark run :p. Theyre my only 3 FSb settings btw :p. Gotta love ECS. Still, £100 for the machine wasnt too bad.... Its damned noisy though. PiLsY. |
There aren't many entrys on the overclockers.com database but the lowest one is 936. I suppose all tips would be the typical ones.
P.s. I sent you an email, did you get it? |
thanks, I forgot about the OC.com database. I think the coppermine just needs a little more juice (no one got up to a gigahertz on stock voltage there). I might need to relax the RAM timings just a bit - but I hope Crucial comes through for me.
Pedant - yeah, I got your email, but my attention span for the vaseline discussion lapsed about a month ago. |
