they must have heard me talking about them, for some reason there both running at 235 memtest stable when before I posted that they wouldnt. I didnt change anything :stick:
now there topping out at 242, i keepin em. but still, is it possible to return these to fry's just for future references?
these little bastard sticks were all no "no shroomy. dont return me to that big bad fry's. Well work I promise"
Sure, you could return them. Stand inline and say, they aren't compatible with my PC. They give you a pice of paper, you go back to PC section, tell him you want 2 XYZ sticks, he gives you a paper, you go up to the register, trade pieces of paper and he goes to the cage and grabs your sticks... you're done!

shroomy i think your mobo suxors :)

I like to call it renting from fry's :shock2:
Strange thing, happened to me last week:Quote:

Hope my mushkin will kill them anyways ;)
well the ram is memtest stable at 240@2,2,2,8 but not windows stable. In order to get windows stable I have to run it at 240@2,3,2,8 just like good old ch-5, show ho much they have in common
Well, Fry's is my first choice on testing something out that hasn't been proven. Only bad thing is... don't be surprised to get retail CPU with opened box or OEM CPU with abused marks... Open box item there on items there usually means 1) not a good overclocker, 2) teething compatibility problem, 3) abused but might be good. Always ask for non open box item they have in stock for things that looks suspicious.
might wanna play with bios settings as I had similar problem till I found some different settings ;)Quote:

E-mailed Mushkin about UTT, this is what they said:
Waited almost a week for this information... :( , but we now know something hey. :)Quote:
Hello ---name---,
We are supplying Outpost.com and some Fry's electronics with Blue modules bearing WinBond UTT chips based on the CH5 and BH5 dies. They are not binned for operation beyond the rated specifications but as you can see from the forums the majority are operational at the speed you quoted. Again, they are available only through Outpost.com and some Fry's Electronics.

Subject: DDR CL2 Blue Line has Winbond chip's?
Hello,
I have heard on some forum's (eXtreme systems
<http://xtremesystems.org/forums>, GoT <http://gathering.tweakers.net>)
that Mushkin is using (new) Winbond chips(CH5(/UTT) or BH-5) on there
DDR CL2 Bleu Line memory. Is that correct? And if so, how can I be sure
to order a Winbond set from your site?
And are the chip's tested for a speed(example 230Mhz 2-2-2-5 @ 3Volt)
for being placed on the memory, or all (good and bad overclockers) been
placed on the memory?
I'll hope you can answer my question's and maybe you can send me some
more information about the new Winbond chip's on your Memory.
My regards,
---name---
Good news if you aks me :toast:
And thank you for asking :)
reguarding the email, think they mix the ic's on the sticks?
What do you mean "they mix the ic's?"Quote:

no. a batch was built with bh and another batch with ch chips. there was no chip mixing or any kind. .. ch had no dots and bh has 2 dots.

Well looks like I will probably throw my OCZ fanboyism aside and pick up a gig of this own4g3 and sell my TCCD, mobo, and XT PE and head on over to the DFI Lanparty Ultra-D
Anyone ordered from outpost to europe? They ship internationally but don't state the cost for shipment.

How many people get errors over 3.4v? I can run memtest at 3.38v with no errors what so ever but if I just crank up the voltage to 3.4v I get instant errors and thosands of them.
Bit more tweaking and playing (as well as burning in) now my 2gb 4x512mb set is stable 243mhz 2-2-2-6 3.3v :) Will increase voltage and fine tune more.
Edit) Now testing 250mhz 2-2-2-6 3.5v. Memtest86 ran fine and testing windows memtest to confirm. Strange how I thought winchester can't handle 4 dimm... 1T well... but it is doing fine it seems... If venice shows more promise than winchester on 4x512mb... i might have to take out heatspreader... :P I did change drive str to 8 and it does seem to help taking more voltage on memory in... Sweet spot for me would be 260 2-2-2-5 or 2-2-2-6 but I will wait for venice to really push the memory :P Quite happy as is now.
I'm waiting on the Mushkin Blue vs. Ocz Value VX vs. twinmos SP DEATHMATCH!!
Well, tomorrow I will go to my local Fry's and see if they have this stuff.
Its nice to have another employee of a pc component manufacturer as part of this forum. :banana:Quote:
