Just for curiosity sake, see where 2T will take you. I have the same problem with over 280 1T with 166 div, but when 2T can get 311HTT. I'm running 2T and benchies are better than the limited 1T. I think I'll sell this board and get another.Quote:

Last night, I passed by my sister-in-law's place to reposess my Thermalright SLK-948U from the DFI 754 rig I built for her. While I was there, I decided to test my VX on her system prior to yanking off my heatsink.
Over 60 loops of Memtest Test #5 with 2 modules in place - 269MHz 2-2-2-10. That's 6MHz higher than my best with my current 939 setup, error-free. I wanted to play around some more with 270MHz and beyond, but it was time to go.
And by the way...no problems with dividers on the DFI and a 754 Clawhammer.
As soon as the DFI 939 NF4 board is out, I'll resume extensive testing with the VX and will post results. For now, I'll be happy to gain 1MHz or 2MHz from the installation of this Thermalright.

So, 754 will go higher than 939? Then that's pretty depressing for me, because so far I could only get to 260 without any error...
I didn't bring my DMM with me, but I built that system with an OCZ Powerstream 520. I just tweaked the 3.3V pot a little bit, set the 10/15 4.0V BIOS to 3.4VDIMM, and started my Memtest runs. On a side note, I am now running my VX at 3.40VDIMM as opposed to the 3.51VDIMM that I used to run. :DQuote:

Negative. She whined about her computer being very slow, so I just gave her my DFI 754 rig after a month of playing with it.
UPDATE:
I pulled the IHS off of my 3500+, smoothed some AS5, and topped it off with a 92mm Sunon attached to a Thermalright SLK-948U. Not a single MHz was gained as far as memory frequencies are concerned. I did, however, drop my loaded temps down to 50C at 10x263MHz. Memtest Test #5 will give me 10 to 20 errors every 12 or so loops at 264MHz, as opposed to the hundreds I was getting when my temps were still at 70C. I'll conclude by saying that my VX has reached its limit with my current CPU/motherboard combo.

Rabbi_NZ hit 268MHz with something in the neighborhood of 3.4VDIMM. I did 269MHz with around the same. This was accomplished on an excellent board with stellar features - DFI LANPARTY UT nF3 250Gb.
We still look forward to 270MHz or better in the future...whenever that is. ;)
hey, i'm back on my dfi board! remember my 62w mobile with the broken pin? I took some speaker wire and cut it down and placed it in the mobo socket where the missing pin was. set the cpu and bam! booted into windows 1st try! I haven't had any problems yet. I just need to spend more time with the VX. I have been too busy with xmas crap to even go into the bios. I am contemplating on getting the abit board after seeing what pc ice was able to do on it.Quote:
