I notice with non usb3 M4A89TD PRO bios 1006, it's overvolting quite heftily with LLC on, 1.475v = 1.524 full load prime 95, not a big deal I will just drop voltage to compensate but would be nice to set a voltage and actually get it as LLC Off = undershooting what I set quite a bit. A simple fix would be a middle option. LLC Off, 50% LLC and 100 % LLC.
Success!!!! yaay - thanks asus - it does overvolt .02v more than the previous BIOS's with LLC but at least I got it stable at 4Ghz again :)

This seems to be a common problem with most Asus bios, the last couple releases for the C4F do the same thing,
although 1005 is a little better (especially on the IMC)...
I was hoping to see the LLC% option too, hopefully 1005 was just a placeholder and bingo has something new and better coming soon. :up:

running the 1606 bios now on ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3
load as in prime 95 or just a game?
I'm set at about 1.4375 for example right now to compensate doing some testing in prime 95, Load = 1.488-1.50. I use LLC only to keep voltage more consistent, it bounces around quite a bit more off.
Target is 1.475 which I will hit with these settings IDLE.
It may have more to do with the way turbo is implemented on chip. I like control and don't want my chip doing stuff I don't tell it to do especially when doing reviews, that said turbo is off. What could be happening is turbo is told to be off multi wise but the cpu and or microcode isn't smart enough to say hey we don't need to ramp voltage now becasue turbo is off. Thats a very logical explanation why instead of having some droop voltage ramps up even more when loaded as that is the way turbo was designed to work.
It's not a big deal LLC percentages will allow closer to accurate set voltages for all parties.

Following on from my earlier posting regarding possible issues with GPU clock error and USB header (issues still present in 1606 BIOS), below are findings for two different 1055T processors:
1) Max CPU Bus Frequency overclock results (HyperPI 32M, y-cruncher Kasumi stable): i) 1055T, 125W processor - 305 MHz; ii) 1055T, 95W processor – 299 MHz [300 MHz (CPU-Z) in Windows environment – disparity between BIOS and Windows environment]
2) CPU Bus Frequency for 1055T, 95W processor is prone to moving around a fair bit, i.e. a setting of 302 MHz in the BIOS results in values of between 302 and 306.7 MHz in Windows environment (CPU-Z).
3) CPU Core voltage for 95W processor in Turbo mode reaches 1.49V (Everest), for 1.275V CPU voltage setting in BIOS, and AMD OverDrive erroneously reports multiplier value up to 20 when set to 15 in BIOS – recognising that this could be an issue with the AMD OverDrive software.

Load on Prime 95. Disabling LLC may cause a ~0.06v vdroop for my x4 955.
Changing to 1055T and the same board, LLC overvolt goes higher. Set 1.4125v for 4GHz and shows 1.452-1.464v on CPU-Z under Prime 95 load. Similarly as yours.
I'm struggling if CPU-Z voltage value is a bit higher than actual on M4A89TD? I have measured vcore use a voltmeter on C4F, and it is always ~0.02v lower than what CPU-Z showed (1.4125v 4GHz setted in BIOS as M4A89TD, 1.438-1.440v measured, 1.452-1.464v on CPU-Z under Prime 95 load), I doubt this because I'm not sure if C4F's LLC level is the same as M4A89TD.:shrug:
I'm experiencing difficulties holding the previous stable OC on M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 - 4267MHz with 1.403125V (set in bios), resulting in 1.416V (or similar) in cpu-z while idle and 1.44 - 1.52V (cpu-z) under Prime95 load. Now, with bios 1605 and 1606 it seems that even 1.44V - 1.45V (set in bios) doesn't help. I put back the frequency to 4GHz with 1.33V, but I want to have my previous result again. However, the reason could be different and it could be something in my system, instead of a bios problem. LLC is enabled on the CPU and disabled for CPU-NB. It seems that CPU-NB is working on the same voltage as before - I tested that. My Corsair GTX2, however, needed a slight bump in voltage from 1.69 to 1.7025 or smth. If you need any other info, please let me know and I will do whatever I'm able to help. I have currently unused Crosshair IV, I could try the same components with it.
Edit: I think 1303 was the best for OC, but I'm not sure about the exact version.
Edit2: The CPU hadn't been tortured at all. I've run some benchmarks but as I remember 1.58V was the max on cinebench and as I see here, some people are putting over 1.6V into it. I have a descent water-cooling setup, load temperatures never went too high. Even on SuperPi 1M @ 4676MHz I've used 1.58V, lol.
