Maybe they send the worst ones down here in South America :ROTF:
Or I'm just too unlucky to find the golden ones :shakes:

this is relatively recent. i've since changed my timings & clocks slightly, but the voltages haven't changed. here's what in the ss
418x9=3762MHz
1.4550 in bios
1.4200 idle in windows
1.3500 load in windows

I just ran another 24hr p95 torture test on the cpu, this time with the ram overclocked:

This is the most stable cpu I've ever had....it almost makes me want to go for 3.6ghz :D
My current q6600 needs more volts than that to be stable at 3.2GHz !!!! So that one isnt too bad .
Got my old QX6700 ES plugged in, it is fully stable on 340 x 10 with only 1.33V...
And remember this is a B3 ;) .
It does 4Ghz on only 1.51V .
Hello, this is my first post here and I would like to share some results and get some help. I have tried the vdroop mod in my p5e and now I got some confusing results with the vcore of the quad. Before the mod, at 9*333 the q6600 needed 1,264v and 1,224v in idle-load to get stable with prime95, and now needs only 1,200v that is the same in idle and load after the vdroop mod, so I thought the same should happens at higher speed and the quad should need less vcore but don´t.. :( At 8x400 before was 1,288-1,248v and now is stable with 1,264v, and at 8*425 before was 1,376-1,328v and now needs 1,352v, so the temps under load are a bit higher. Mayby someone here have a similar issue and know why this happens. Thanks in advance
man, my load temps at 3.6 are in the 70s. the highest is 73 on core 0 and 1.
my vcore is around 1.45v. i need to throw some more fans in the case or something
So far for me 4GHZ = FAIL. I got up to 3960 last night at 1.5 Bios Vcore, but no go above that. Idle temps at 3960 were in high 40's. Didn't try to load yet, might have another go at it tonight.

I wish my P5E would let me run anything other then 1:1 over 395mhz :brick:[/QUOTE]
Have you tried bios 0402? I use it and with g-skill 1006 2*2gb I was able to use 1:1, 5/6, 5/8 and ¾ with 9*333 and 8*400, 413 and 425, but I tried with 8gb and wasn´t stable for gaming so I returned them and put again my old kingston that with the q6600 and that bios is rock stable with this board instead bad temps readings sometimes and 4/5 don´t work. I use 1:1 because this ram don´t overclock much from 800mhz but got nice results for a 6400 5-5-5-15 with the Go at 8*425 using the 333strap. Here is a picture of everest (trial) that I took with the phone, I don´t know yet how to make and load here a screenshot.http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/2...agen120lr7.jpg
You hit the spot.
This is why the Q9450 stinks so much, for 45nm cpu's you can do 1.42V max for 24/7 i think, otherwise they degrade fast. Besides that, with the 45nm quads FSB wall of 440-450 in my mind, it can reach only a bare 450 x 8 or 3.6Ghz.
My Q6600 rocks :ROTF: , only 1.384V on 4Ghz and max suicide on that voltage is 4185Mhz, i want to see a Q9450 or Q9550 do that  .
Anybody intrested to buy :p: ?
You mean 1.4v for the E8400 dont you. Here a link to a temp quide for Core duo/Quad etc. which gives all the safe limits http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/...perature-guide - doesnt mean you have to follow them of course - overclocking always carries a risk -pushing the limits is all part of the fun :D just might cost you though
What upscale intel processor does a q6600 g0 at 3.0 (333x9) benchmark closest too??
