I just bought this board from Newegg and I'm waiting a few days for it to arrive.
I'm using a Q6600 G0 with 2 8800GT's in SLI, 2x2gb G.Skill DDR2-1000.
So it seems the 5/21 bios is best but it doesn't have the multi unlocked but seems to throttle once the board gets really heated up. The 7/23 has the multi unlocked but seems to not perform as well.
I'm hoping I'll be receiving a newer revision of this board.
What revision are you all currently using?
I primarily play Crysis at 1920x1200 and these 2 8800GTs have been on my mind since they came out. I do currently have a 8800GTX but some of the benchmarks I have seen seem to really benefit from SLI. The newer Nvidia drivers have been increasing Cyrsis performance slowly. The new Crysis patch should be increasing SLI performance.
I chose this board because of the fantastic layout and more than 4 USB ports. I refuse to pay $300 for the Striker and get poor card slot layout and only 4 USB ports. I know this board has not been the best Q6600 performer but I really need this board's layout to work with all my cards.
I currently have my Q6600 G0 on the DFI P35 UT board. Any chance the GTL voltages from the P35 board can be used with the 680i LT board? I'm guessing not exactly but it may be a starting point.
hey guys,
I#m using the 680i with an 8800 gtx and i'm thinking of buying the x-fi soundcard.
i already heard that there can be problems with this soundcard and the n680i.
what are these problems?
are there ways to get rid of them?
does every1 have these problems with the x-fi and the n680i or is it just bad luck?
mfg
I have one running in a asus p5nt-ws 680i with no issues.
The problem is a combination of running a graphics card in the middle PEG slot with an X-FI and a variety of BIOS versions.
If you have just a single card in the first PEG slot, you shouldn't have any problems.
If you run the 5/21, 12/21, or 3/20 BIOS versions you shouldn't have problems.
Finally, unless you need SLI, there are lots of better boards to choose from. NVIDIA's chipsets are really just crap. Even if you need SLI, there are probably better nVidia boards to choose from.
I had That windows install issue with Raptor,Bios flash helped me(thank god).
Now im having trouble that it wont accept my overclocking attempts,it shows the current FSB and voltage and the desired one, but it wont load the overclocks after saving the settings.
This board has been total nightmare so far,all sorts of trouble with Ram,installing windows and now with overclocking.
Well was cheap atleast, 75$.
Has anyone had any success on this board with the Flex II 9200 kit?
No one is running the FlexII 9200 2x2 GB kit on this board?
