Could be a good chip
What board? IMC sucks on my 660 :(
Mam, these new chips take a hell of alot of voltage for being 32nm.
Little better, going to get LN2 Monday...

Don't you have issues with burning socket? M3F uses foxconn socket, and affected badly on Lynnfields >1.6v.Quote:
Asus maximus 3 formula...
woot:eek:
Nice i5:)
Keep pushing it!!!
Nice RR, good luck with LN2, seems like a decent chip u got yourself.
nice one road runner! Cant wait to see what you come out with tomorrow :)
Great result on cascade getting over 6ghz and breaking the 6s superpi barrier! On for ln2 results to see the difference! :D
Ow, you must be joking

It was like this:
http://www.xtremesystems.org/Forums/...&postcount=428
And tonight I benched 8800GTX on LN using maximus 3 formula with Xeon 3470 (i7 870 server variant). Coz I already was "aware" about foxconn pos socket, I've neved fed more that 1.56V on cpu, CPU was cooled by LN2 to, at -60...-80°C. Only two cores was enabled,no HT (just wanted to push 3d03/05 and aquamark).
Used rig ~6 hours nonstop, until 15L of LN2 was used. Working pefrect at 5GHz , tested only 3dmarks and aquas, no heavy loads like 3d06/vantage/wprime's etc...
Powered rig off , left defrosting. and after some time - pull off CPU to see how are socket. And f**k, it's burned.
Will take and post photos tomorrow, and also check if rig still operable. Will never again go 1156/ nor asus. Tired of crap hardware.
Also Boards with Lotes-socket burned down at stock clocks and default voltages... ;) In germany we call it "panikmache" - pure panicmongering

Good results and over 6GHz only with Cascade is very nice!

Prooflink? You know, burning 500$ CPU and 300$ mobo coz of sux socket by different serious ocers is not just "you idiot, it's your fault" deal.
good job and nice chip, waiting for further results
Coldbug around -100c, corrupted a hard drive also and was worried about the socket burning so I took it apart to check it. Socket looks fine.

nice chip
@TiN_EOF:
just my two cents...
to me it's only a question of luck, i used an MSI P55-GD60 with foxconn socket for many hours under SS and LN2, vcore was always higher than 1.6 volt and VQPI always higher than 1.6 but none of the PIN was melted.
On LN2...

 very nice road-runner. Can't wait to pay with my 661. Time to give it NickShih vcore :D
Looks like a good chip. look forward to more results:)
Nice overclock i5 670:up:
