Anyone? :)
Did vPLL even exist on P965? I think it did- if it was the same as vFSB, that would make it really low, but the boards are still good for FSB
I think we need to check other forums who may edit bioses.
I have some guys in my profile as friends... But i think guy is too bussy, and he was good with editing..
Hey :) Thanks for the post! If it can be done, i'd really appreicate it :) I guess first of all, there has to be something to control, before a BIOS mod could work.
I really should probe my board a bit :D
For Commando, based on my own experience, vPLL is tied to Southbridge voltage. Benching fsb limited cpus, raising Sb (no not Sandy bridge... :P) volt to max gave the same response as vPLL would on newer boards. Maybe this can explain the rumors of raising Sb volt to boost bclk on modern boards, something I have never noticed helping. This last thing I just realised
Nothing to lose, will give it a try :)
Thanks bro!
Had a shot. Cranked the SB volts and got another 4FSB. No reason why it won't have been down to this so... thanks!
:D
Alright! Maybe not too healthy for the southbridge though, but... they are like 1.5 volt stock and max in bios is like 1.8-1.9? Should be ok.
Otherwise I have a friend who knows how to treat hot southbridges :p:
