I read a review on this board on vortez.net. It seems fairly good. They mention it is 10+2 power phase control. Has anyone analyzed the power phase feature? Is it superior to the X370 Titanium?? This board does have a few improvements over the Titanium. The M.2 drive heatsink is a far better design. It has wireless AC support. I also see it doesn't have Intel lan , but rather uses Killer lan. Is this a significant issue??? Thanks for any enlightenment you can provide.
Looking at both 12V CPU power headers, the Titanium has 8+4 pin and the Gaming is 8 pin but I would bet the both OC the 1800X the same.
It more of a limitation of the CPU unless you wanted to go LN2, then go with the Titanium.
None of the MSI boards have good VRM layouts. I think right now, the best VRM configurations are on ASRock boards - X370 Taichi for example.
Though C6H owners might disagree.
I see no compelling reason to use MSI boards on AM4.

Yet MSI boards compare very favorably with the best of Asus and the Asrock Taichi with overclocking. I ave not heard of one them having overheating issues with the vrm's. Their bios support is a little weak, meaning they are slower to post new bios changes as compared to Asus, but that is the extent of the issue. They also have had less issues than Asus with issuing incompetent bioses that brick the boards. Asus 2 bricks with x370 MSI none.Quote:

I don't see the benefit. Launch prices on the top-of-the-line MSI board were $299, while the MSRP for the Taichi (which, granted, few paid due to board shortages) was much lower. Hell even the mighty C6H was cheaper at launch.Quote:

Having seen/heard about the VRM weakness of some Gigabyte boards, I am wary of weak VRM configs. And this is MSI we're talking about. They did earn a reputation.
No idea what the new chipset drivers do. Might be related to Spectre, but it's too early to tell.
