ACC active, 4 cores ...?
Hot hot hot! The new CPU AMD can be unlocked to 4 core!
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=225698
-
May have to buy one when available could be fun ocing theses!
-
Imo this new CPU isn't that exciting... I want to see what Regor can do, thats something new.
Not meaning to start a fight - but Callisto is just another Deneb:shrug:
-
namegt:4 GHZ with only 1.35V? How much than with 1.55V? Or CPU-Z show it not correct? Thx. Nice chip. King of dualcores AMD:welcome::up:

-
Is the stock volts really 1.280V?
-
very nice chip i wonder if these will go and take the top spot for AMD overclocking

But ....
4 cores is not active ...:shakes::shrug::confused:
-
Is ACC in Auto mode?.. maybe try up + ACC.
How many cores does it show in Bios tha you can Dis/eneable only one ?
-
4Ghz 24/7, what are the temps at load?
Perkam
-
That was a real kick-ass Dual core CPU for now. :D
-
Those temps can't be accurate. 25c load at 3.6 GHz? that means...it's like no heat output at all.
Is AMD Overdrive accurate with the temperature readings?

I think the temperature is too low
-
Your the Bomb dude:woot:
Thats insane Dualcore Action.
Haha I just Grabbed a Revised UD4P for My 720. Hopefull i can truely see what it has in Hybrid Mode:D
So in a few hours or So ill be hitting up that GIGA thread with some Results .
" NameGT",,
is it working in Auto ? For 4cores now " Also can you disable temp monitoring then check temp in windows.
If its like the 720's it may not reg temps once unlocked and could be messing with Bios:shrug:
I like DFi too but theres never No DFi's stocked in my neck of the woods. So i grabbed the next best thing that is capable to unlock on stock Bios for Cheap .
A very good friend gave me 50% off UD4P, early Bday present:hrhr:
I check in later need to finish installing The Mobo.

AMD send to me an ES chip, I'm using stockfan of X4 940 and water cool. It's easy to hit 3,6GHz and stable with stockvolt and stockfan. With water, I think it can run stable 4GHz. :D Benchstable's so easy!
But my chip have a problem. I don't know why it can't run orthos/prime/OCCT with stockclock and stockvolt.
-
Thank you ~
The air is cooling.

Nice OC's guys. These things seem to be the best gaming BFB atm looking at reviews :) With that bonus of a potential extra core..
I'll join in shortly if I can find one in stock somewhere :)

Put some testing on it now :D

Ya, I'm familiar with how to do it. I was just wondering if there was any particular reason for setting them to -2%? Does setting all cores to say 0% or +12% have any effect?
Thanks

core of the cpu to the ACC will need to find the optimal settings.

What happens if you dont set it to -2,-2,-2,-2?
Thx

It all depends.. Some chips may like more ACC some less. Ive found on many Mobos default ACC = -2 when set to auto for most chips.
My friends 720's sets to +2 in auto . Mines sets to ZERO in Auto and i can run +4 if i wish. I can also give it more Volts. Once enabled you really dont need to touch it, just let it do, What ever ACC does lol.
Nice Av ..... "Capt Caveman" rules and Quik Draw Mcgraw;) had too some old time favorites. These new toons suck!
NameGT ....great work with that chip...and five of em wow. I only have one on the way.

Is someone able to do a comparison of this with 4cores enabled to say a e8400/8500/8600 please

Why? Even with only 2 cores Guru3D shows the 550 keeps up and sometimes passes the E8400.
-
any idea if ECS A790GXM AD3 can do some unlocking fun?

Size 943 KB
Major Reasons of Change:
The BIOS added 65nm ACC code for AMD Phenom II 710 / 720 CPUs(45nm) only.

dont feel so bad im in the same boat as you.
i have a newer stepping aswell, CACYC AC 0932FPMW but i have heard of acouple people getting those to unlock aswell.
my 790FXB-M2RSH doesnt seem to wanna do it no matter what i do. it just doesnt post once i set it. i have tried almost all the bios execept the one without the zip file. (27)
im not really sure what i should set everything else incase thats whats messing it up.
im running ddr2-1000's so i duno if i should tinker around with the ht setting cause everything is on auto and should sort itself out.
id like to believe that i could get at least 1 core working but this mobo seems to be um.. annoying to deal with to say the least.
-
Your chip is bad, man, that DFI will unlock 100% stable.
I used that mobo to unlock a 720 and three deneb 5000+, all were very easy to do and all those chips were good. I was using the August 20 bios for all of that, and everything worked perfect and the chips would clock clear up until either their limit or the DFI's HT Ref limit with 100% stability.
I would try each ACC value between -12 and 12 on all the cores and see what happens. If that fails, try vcore, but it's likely that your chip is not a good unlocker.

that may be so but im not convinced yet. i think my board could be buggered as it has been sent it for repairs to the manufacturer and i know for a fact it was repaired and not replaced so i have doubts on the credibility of it.
which is why im looking for somone local who would be willing to test my cpu for me ;)
also someone who bought the cpu the same day as me with the same batch or stepping number on it was a success so
