Fermi's do great with AA. Without AA the 5970 is 1.7 times faster than the 480, with 4xAA and AF the number drops to 1.4.

Yeah, even 1.4x is higher than the usual percentage by which 5970 is faster than 480.
This is more a less a TWIWMTBP game but in AMD favour, just look at the hardocp article and it becomes obvious. The graphs and marketing tools should make it more obvious those.
[H] reviews AMD slides ... Good ...
Yes and no. IMO, it's a lot like Far Cry 2 in terms of optimizations.
When AvP was first released, ATI cards walked all over it in DX9 and DX10 (no mention of DX11 simply NVIDIA had nothing to compare). However, both ATI and NV have been at the top of their games when it comes to optimizations for it. Just like FC2 was a TWIMTBP game that proved to be quite even performance-wise for both companies.
Also -and unlike FC2- the developers themselves have rolled out SIGNIFICANT performance improvements over their last few patches for both vendors' products.
As such, I think AvP is one of the more vendor-agnostic games out there right now regardless of ATI's support.
I ran the bench another 3 times after seeing Felix's 5870 results as my first result was much lower. Low and behold, the next 3 runs were magically higher

@ ElSel
Although you are running 1600x1200, 1680x1050 is still 88% the pixel count so the difference will be marginal. You shouldn't have put so much weight in my initial result, especially in light of Felix's result. Don't be so quick to jump to conclusions my friend
hmm does not seem to be CPU limited... Scaling sux max of 67%...

This benchmark is definitely pro AMD, because it seems to use crossfire but not SLI. I just ran the test at default settings, and I checked my GPU usage and there was only activity on one GPU (second GPU didn't use no more than 10%):

man mine suck big time

Nobody with DX9/DX10 results? :(
DX11 only and from where I am standing, not a very good representation of the actual in-game performance.
It's a shame too because we're sure to see AvP benchmarks using this tool to start popping up in numerous reviews due to its ease of use. Meanwhile, it doesn't give accurate results in relation to actual gameplay so hopefully sites will realize this and either use the game itself or not include AvP at all in their reviews.
