Intel cpus are only good for single thread or games lower than 1440p, anything other than those then makes no sense having intel cpus anymore like used to. The difference before ryzen was astronomically, now is so close that only makes sense to invest on ryzen and doing that will make intel to work harder and deliver cause i see only amd delivering right now.
Props to amd that launched a new processor that is 60% faster than its predecessor, i congratulate amd for that and i did the same for intel when they launched the e6600 back in 2006. I hate this 7% increase per 2 years and that made intel lazy, new chipset every year is bs, am4 has been for a long time.
I forgot to mention the endless quadcore bs since 2006 intel has been pulling, intel could have launched an octacore cpu since 2012 and decided not to for desktop users. If it was not for amd then we would have an endless quadcores for life, plus, intel is not charging a leg and an arm for its 6 core cpu cause of amd.
Both learnt the hard way, amd on 2006 and intel 2001 and now 2018. If you are not competitive then it has no market for your product, amd tried to cheat for a long time and intel grew lazy.
Can anyone recommend a 2x8Gb kit to run at 3600 16-16-16 for a 2700X build. I'll assume GSKILL or Team and B-die?
Nevermind, got the G.Skill 3600 C15 kit.
Good choice on the ram, flare x?
Nope, the TridentZ F4-3600C15D-16GTZ.
I have that kit, and on the msi and giga 7, the xmp profile is borked. c15 does not run @ 3600 strap. You will get 16-15-15-xx and have to mess with subtimings to dial in stability.
both are x470 boards btw, but the same is seen on the giga 7 x370 as well.
Another thing that I saw and the GBT board when pushing was the SMT and downcore reset after the system chooses to slack the timing. The options were set in BIOS yet the system ignored until I came off the 3733 strap.
Particle, I do both and with 32M timing adjust gave more than Mhz but with X265 Mhz gives me more FPS encoding, locking down timing also seems best.
With some tinkering I was able to get 3000Mhz posted, so AGESA 1002c is an improvement.
Got a ROG Crosshair VII X470 coming tomorrow. Already have the 2700X.
Any tips for getting these TridentZ F4-3600C15D-16GTZ stable at C15 3600 MHz?
I'm finding that as well. Although I'm running 3200 right now and still won't do C15. Is there any trick or strap that will run C15 with this kit? I'm on X470 ASRock Taichi, but have a CH7 X470 sitting here as well to use.
Any tips at all with this RAM would be great.
