I don't understand the numbers?...you're using the ES E6850 which has a default 333FSB, correct?
Out of the memory you've tested which is the best?, and how do the benchmarks compare to DDR2 memory?
Meaning, without overclocking the CPU/FSB or memory how do the SuperPI timings match up?
Eg. use the X6800 with default 266FSB and 2.93GHz using default DDR2 memory running at 800MHz with the standard 4-4-4-12 timings.
Now run the E6850ES at default 333FSB with normal 3.00GHz clock speed, then use some low latency DDR3 memory at 800MHz with say 5-5-5-18 timings.
Basically we're trying to establish if there is any performance increase and if DDR3 is worth the changeover.

I'm comparing that now, I'm matching his clocks using cas5 & cas4. I'm sure there's a reason the traditional 3.6Ghz with 1:1 & 4:5 dividers is not shown:)

I think a straight shootout is nesscary, say DDR3 800MHz and 1066MHz vs. DDR2 800MHz and 1066MHz.
Set the clock speeds and FSB for the CPU's the same.

I love the images, very nicely done.
Thanks

I think the Intel Chipset will still be Memory limited.
Only on chip memory controller will make a MASSIVE difference, not %5 or something insignificant like that.
Paying %100 price difference for %5 gain = poor economics.
Mind you, im very interested in head-head results, so i can make a decision on getting a QX6700 and sticking with this Badaxe2 for the rest of the year at least.

Thanks a lot for the preview, a DDR2 vs DDR3 would be nice too

AndreYang, thanks for sharing all this.
Gunnz Akimbo, limited with 700+ MHz capable memory!?

yup good chance to see the nearest meduim evolvment in pc future.

It's nice to see E-SATA coming into popularity...

Would win 32m low clock challenge with a much lower cpu speed.

If it is 6*572 i will sell my DDR2 and buy DDR3 :D

try the new cpu 1.40 says better p35 support.

How well DDR3 responds to V and what V you running? :)
-
nice ... DDR3 1400 ... thats alot of bandwidth .
-
Is it me or are the RAM test pictures dead?
-
Looking good. Thanks for the great pics.

modem killer pictures lol j/k
nice pictures AndreYang :toast:

has anyone noticed that the graphics is AGP????? whats the deal here????
