be ready for VRM hot ,-) Il be ready with few test tomorow too, first I must install OS etc :-/
thanks for the tip lol its all new territory for me so gonna get a feel for it before i blast off
Only a few mobos actually have a proper VRM design to handle the FX-9000 series or a heavily OC'ed 8-core FX CPU. An additonal fan on the VRM heatsink may be required to prevent the VRM from overheating and dropping the vcore to .875v and the frequency to 1400 MHz. so the VRM circuit can cool.
old good Crosshairs :).
crosshair V ftw :) I like that the warm VRM keeps condensation at bay :)
testing memory

im having weird gremlins where my available memory jumps from 8gb to 4gb for no rhyme or reason
is it on 2t? maybe your mal? try weakening or strengthening drive strength. give nb a few more v's? up the ram voltage? i run my samsung low v ram @ 1.7 for almost 1 year with no issues, but that's all i got :p
i think this bios hates my hynix ram when i was on the 1602 bios i didnt get those issues but i tried all night to revert back i gave up lol. so now im testing with samsungs until i can find a way to get a hynix bios from asus

CPUNB seems good! Over 2700 MHz is nice for memory aida test (new aida memory =stress in all threads)
what voltage are u running for nb? or is that secret? seeing all these fx (8320 on up) series cpu's benching makes me want one haha.
looks like my cpu needs more cooling to play with hynix full blast because of NB limits

what a difference 1 multi up makes
going to test samsungs now.
I've had a lot of luck with the 508 beta bios for my CHV-z, works fine with all my FX even the 9370.Quote:
i have everything on auto its setting around 1.45v
You can probably get away with 1.3v or less at 2700 for the CPU_NB I noyiced on mine as well that the auto was very high.
tweaking the board to be more hynix friendly lol
