edit: found a nice example of Win vs Linux for WCG

Architecture: AuthenticAMD Six-Core AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 2439 SE [Family 16 Model 8 Stepping 0]

2439SE is 2,8Ghz vs 1,8Ghz for 2419.
Nuff said. Go linux. (I'd suggest everyone buy second HDD for cruncher and use it during SCW, or use any small drive you got stashed away somewhere)
If i had 2439/8439SE's id be pushing ~11-12,5K ppd.
(with latest kernel and 13.10 upgrade ppch [points per core hour] is still climbing, currently averaging 27,90941173)
HDDs are overrated ;)

Kingston TravelMate 111 16gb, powering both 3770k and 4770k
(yes it's USB 3.0 stick stuffed in USB2.0 port, for some reason Sabertooth has problems booting from USB3)
Even better. :)
Shall we create a quick how-to on how to get BOINC up and running on USB in Supercomputer thread?
you just install your system on your usb drive instead of hdd, and then you install boinc with this guide ;)
starting from next update (01.01.2014), every host over 100 ppd will be recorded
and done... need a better way to show all results, but that's after i get my left hand out of package
after that i'll add compare hosts/host specific stats and maybe hall of fame or something
Today I beat your 4770k on that list, Evantaur. :)
And the fun part is, it is doing that at stock speeds. I had troubles with getting more and more errors over the last few week. So decided to go back to stock speed and see what it can do.
Started with all projects, but was running FAHV wu's the last few days.
I really need better cooling soon. The 4770k was running at 70c all the time since I got it last October.
Thanks for all the time you put into this top hosts list.

:D
yeah i had to throw my H220 i bought for my server to it, with stock cooler it kept hitting 100c, i don't know where they even find thermal-paste that performs so poorly
np, there's a lot of features i want to put in, but too busy/tired atm
Old Chap now at #2 on WCG & #1 on XS
removed cooling and overclock columns because i didn't have time to implement those, if site looks weird now please let me know
also made the updating script only use 1 internet connection, for some reason it got confused and failed to update statistics daily
todo:
- rewrite the code to add some failsafes and be more efficient
- move hosting to more powerful server
Nice one Evantaur
OC now 91302 rac
Looks just fine the way it is.
Page looks good too :ROTF:
started redesigning the page, if you wish to have some feature added, let me know
