he should try to lower frequency of the validation server, maybe its unstable :ROTF:
Does the SuperPi Validator work?
I tried from work and can't get it to say any result I tried is valid. I'll try it again when I get home and see if its not the network.
didn't knew that did is a XS copyright product well done folks :D
I cant seem to validate either. Is this happening for everyone?
me too..
Validation result:
Incorrect checksum!
for all results
http://forum.crazypc.ro/showthread.php?t=7793 these romanian guys have cracked your little toy...it seems this blue_led so,ehow managed to intrerrupt a southbridge quartz or something...don't know how they did it but these guys are the best...
Its a bogus program that just does a fake calculation to whatever you type in as variabled, there is a visual difference with superpi 1.5 xs so its not a perfect copy.
Look again Charles, this doesn't seem to be that knockoff. A very low level timing hack it seems, this would affect everything, not just SuperPi. I think they're using the original XS v1.5 without any modifications.
But ATM validation isn't working at all as it is. :S
I't a quite well-known hack. I remember this one for the good old Socket A. It changes the timer frequency, so the system thinks, that time goes slower than it really is. But there is a program, AnticheatTOC, it can catch this kind of cheat also. The program has been developed for Total Overclock - an overclocking competition. And there are new versions going out.
Would like to see that screen with the Anticheat validation :D
Cause this cheat was the first I recommended to add.
And yes, this program can make 3Dmark 01 run faster, that's for sure.
The Overclocker Magazine:
Fugger, don't sit so much on Gautum's ass with his name yeah ?
It was funny though  ...
Sorry for offtopic, but wanted to say this  ...
hmm i still get the Validation result: Incorrect checksum!
0h 00m 12.096s Checksum EDBAC619
dont know if im wrong or !!
Is there something wrong with SPi mod 1.5?
I run a 1M calculation with a 20 pass IBT stable clock and Super Pi Mod "has stopped working" almost immediately or after 1 iteration.
I have also booted with default values from a cleared CMOS and recieved the same result. The same thing happens with 32M, sometimes a few iterations in.
Tried this on multiple hardware configs. Haven't been able to get a good SPi result in a while...
I have also been trying to sun some pi's but no matter what i run It tells me its invalid checksum. Fugger can you look at this when you get a chance?
The validation hasn't been working for like a year now ... :(
Common XS..this is why you got Super PI.. because we knew you would take care of it.. there is plenty of help here arouind the boards.. i'm sure one of us that you trust can get the validation going.. XS FTW!
Please.
I can t validate 2 checksum

Can somebody help me to validate to rbuass?
Thanks for the help
It has been stated like a gazillion times ... Validator is broken since like late 2007 ...
managed to eek out my memory a little.....shaved 10seconds off my 32m time :)
another 3 seconds off with a few more Mhz :)
Windows 7 FTW ;)
Yes, there is something wrong. In Vista (64-bit only?), disable Windows Audio service, and then it will run fine. There is a script somewhere on this forum that will stop the audio service, run SuperPiMod XS, and restart Vista's audio service.
One assumes that the program is hooking into audio DirectX to detect cheating, but that it doesn't quite work with some Vista audio drivers. I get this issue too.
I ran the 32M and got "0h 10m 23.797s" (i7 @ 3660 (20x183), uncore @ 3302, 3 x 2GB DDR3-1464 @ 7-7-6-18-1T).
hyper pi will run four instances (or however many cores you have) of Pi and offers the option to disable audio service in vista as descibed above.

installed gimp so I could take a screenshot:
