The room temp is about 22C now but my NB and SB is always about 42C is it high? Everything is in default setting and I see some others has 3XC so why am I having the temp a bit high?
What`s about performance level ? How low can do that P45? Give me some everest cash&memory tests.
Thanks in advance.
I have the Gskill PC8800 and it was 6 at some point before I update something but now is 7 I don't know why. by the way is the performance level suppose to be low means good I thought higher the better?
It is PL=8. DimmVoltage is 2.0V(Bios) and 2.1 real.

Nope, my friend. PL=6 better than PL=8 :)
Ok guys, i feel i must buy MIIF and make great clock with my CellShock"RedDevil" :)
whats max fsb hit on this board dual and quad ? :)
Everest Ultimate using vista sidebar gadget.
just did a Q6600 & 8GB DDR2-800 OC with the following settings;
Manual Settings
Multi = 8
FSB = 400
DDR2-801
Gives 3.2Ghz and 8GB of DDR2-800 5-5-5-12 (safe settings for now)
- CPU Volts = 1.35000
- CPU PLL = 1.50000
- FSB = 1.29875
- DRAM = 1.95900
- NB = 1.29875
- SB 1.5 = 1.55300
- SB 1.1 = 1.15300
Running Prime95 with round-off checking temps on NB got 49*C which was cooler than 266FSB without the washer mod (53*C)
Still could do with tweaking, but need to share settings with other Q6600 + M2F users.
At least it booted up and into windows without any bugs.
I have a really strange problem going on.
First, for the normal part. I can play with oc all over the place, adjusting fsb, vcore and ratio with all the expected limits re heat, vcore, etc. I get a stable (occt and Everest)456 * 9.5 at 1.3825 vcore.
I can play infinitely so long as I do restarts or ONLY one power off boot. If I do a second power off the system hangs and will not boot until I turn power completely off at the PSU and then it reboots with cleared cmos.
This does not happen at all with fsb below 430. At 430fsb or higher the problem persists regardless of multiplier.
I don't think it is mobo hardware because all operations are normal so long as I limit to a fsb at 422*9.5. A 4009 stable with E8500 ain't so bad but this limit is truly weird.
My next try is to roll back to a bios prior to 0802 and see if that helps. Any other suggestions will be appreciated.
update:
I rolled back to the 0701 bios and it made no difference. :(
with my e6600 max 510 MHz FSB (HTT) ....
but i dont come higher, evenso when i turn up the FSB / NB voltage.
i guess that at 510 mhz begins the fsb-hole ... :confused:
i was looking @ getting this board but @ $150 aud i can't go past the dfi p45 plus does 640fsb dual.. and half the price of this baord
Heres mine:

Going to game on it tonight. Wish i knew how to OC, im trying to learn (any1 willing to help :rolleyes:.)
But is it just me or is the BIOS on this oard confusing :P I dont know how to do anything, and cant find anything listed in guides that i read. :confused:
I sent back the E8400 and replaced it with the E8500. I hope I can reach 500FSb ! Has any one gotten there E8500 to 4 GHz with a 500 FSB and what Voltages were used ?
you will love this board it can do really high fsb with really low voltages ( if i compare it with the p35 boards that needed really high NB volts to reach higher fsb speeds).. i'd recommend using the asus overclocking tool to overclock straight from windows it makes finding the max settings little bit more faster than always going to bios..
BTW if anyone of you guys are suffering from high NB temps thats hindering you from getting that littlebit of extra from your board but dont wanna resort to water cooling, you might wanna check this out..
after i found that my boards heatpipe thingie had the worst contact ever with the NB chip, i did this simple little thing.. i added 2 metal washers ontop of the plastic ones that comes with the board...it helped me to drop 20c of my NB temps ( remember i had a horrible contact before, you might not get such a big drop in tepms like i did :D)..

Hi :)
Does the Thermalright 120Ultra eXtreme fit in this mainboard?
I'll remove the four foam between the NB and the heatpipe. I'll take caution.
Yes, just watch out for the little black boxes around the socket (mosfets i think they arel).
The X bracket can move around while installing it.
Now, can someone give a rough voltage for a 475FSB NB setting?
Surely there are generic settings for each level of FSB, considering all the boards have the same heatsink cooling it.
mmm the board seems to handle quads pretty well too :D
