Got one for $45 shipped on ebay.
Gonna try with an e8600 I have that I know will do 4.0ghz with less than stock volts.
For a build for a LAN build for a noob friend (advantage: will not revert to default stock settings in event of a windows crash/shutdown that a bios setting profile might).
worked on my MSI P35 neo 2FR and E7200 pretty nice, brought it from 9.5X266 stock to 9.5X333 stock voltages not to shabby if you ask me
intel white papers give you hints also you can do the bsel voltmod soon
wow I will give this a try very soon looks cool.
Any ideas if this would work on a X3370? Just curious :P

Yep I've tested it on Q9550. It works on all 775 cpu. Id depends only if your motherboard supports it. For example Foxconn P35A-S doesn't like BSEL mods. Abit IP35 likes BSEL.

In doing this is there any advantage/difference over merely overclocking the fsb in bios?
I just tried this on an e6750 and it changed the fsb from 1333(2.66ghz) to 1066(2.13ghz).

Works on P5Q-E with E8400, but Windows wont boot... . :mad:
Doesn't work on Asus Striker II Extreme (790i) with a Xeon x3380.
It detects the FSB as 1600 in the BIOS on Auto but then boots at 1333 MHz FSB anyway.
The only time it does work is after a failed overclock, it defaults to 400 x 9.5 via CPR (CPU Parameter Recall).
Won't work on a ASrock 4core1600-D800 (G31) + e8400 even after hours of tinkering. too bad.
