Looks really neat. :)
Internal pictures? Looks really sleek.
Thanks! no internals yet, still in the process of drilling and tapping. Once the hole placement is complete, milling is next.
Just figure this entire sheet will be solid copper.
Like this !
Sexy! Especially the first pic!
Awesome. looks very nice
So here is where we stand at the moment.
Attachment 105430
Since this is just a prototype I have a warm and fuzzy about starting actual production. I picked through every stash I could find for screws, but this was all I could find, so forgive the dark empty holes.
I tired to pretty up the plastic on the belt sander but this plastic was too "rubbery" to be sanded. The next one will be Copper and Delrin (POM)
looks class man!
That area covering the SB and NF200s should have some sort of logo on it!
Water flow only over the NB? Otherwise, that means some very thin channels past that right barb...
You should move the right barb to the bottom middle right of the block so at least some water is flowing over those chips instead of going straight in and out of it
Barbs anywhere other than the top row (where they are now) would potentially impede GPUs....
Best to just leave them where they are and have a complex flowpath
Some others have suggested putting a barb on the area directly over the South Bridge. In reality that will block any "potential" SLI setups. If you know that you will NEVER use those bottom 2, I can really put the nozzle anywhere you want. The nozzles where they are now allow access to all PCI-E slots.
I will be placing an order for the raw material to make these soon. If you are interested, shoot me a PM.
sick stuff nateman! Cant wait to see some results and temps with it :)
Nice looking block! Good work.
mmm, I like, pm sent.
anything planned for the cpu's Vreg ?
Actually I will have you know that I can certainly make a dual CPU cooler that will cover Both CPU's. I was going to start drafting that up soon, but I have something FAR more ambitious planned for the CPU's.
But like I said, I will be ordering the raw materials for the first batch this week (wed the latest) so if anyone would like to jump on board let me know.
Looking good nate..if only i owned an SR-2;)
Looks great!
The MIPS block for the P6T6 looks really small in pictures, and smaller in person, but it does what it needs.
Thanks! not sure what the mips is about though?
