I recently remounted my nh d15 on my 8700k about a week ago and I used the noctua thermal paste that came in the box and I ran out of thermal paste from the tube applying it and it wasnt enough thermal paste and i didnt have another tube of that stuff and all i had was arctic silver 5 so i added a little bit of that and mounted the cooler
its been running perfectly for a week but it crossed my mind that I mixed thermal paste so I just though i would ask if its okay

It should be fine. It might cure funny, but there should not be short term issues.

You should be fine for the time being, both mixtures are designed to do the same job even though they consist of different compounds. These days I'd recommend Halnziye HY810 or HY880 if you are just needing something you can get in large quantity with decent properties (4.63W/m-K and 5.15W/m-K) but if you are looking for some real high grade stuff go with Halnziye HY-A9, this stuff is 11W/m-K and is dirt cheap. Remember that all thermal pads and pastes with the same thermal rating will all perform very similar the rest of it is just branding and packaging you are paying for.
