Quick question, I seem to have the only chip with a three letter code instead of four. Mine simply reads MPM.
I just got a CBBID/0503EPGW today from the Egg. My mb isnt in stock yet, so i cant test it. I wont be a happy camper if CBBIDs are indeed duds! Dont know how long it will be before i get a hold of this mb.
sorry if i'm being OFF-TOPIC, but as far as i can see, the Xtreme OC's are done with/by 3000+ which force us to use the x9 multi.
very interesting!

Turns out your CBBID wasn't so bad, after all :)
Yes, I am really pleased with the chip and the Gigabyte motherboard. I think I can do better in both SuperPI and 3DMark once my TCCD arrives, though I am pretty sure that is the max for the cpu, but the better bandwidth should help. I also have some KHX w/ BH-5 and an OCZ DDR Booster on the way. I will really see what I can press out of this system.
Since every Winchester is sold out here in Denmark, I'm cinda excited of what date I'm getting. Maybe I'm getting a 0504?! :D
Hi guys!
Sorry for the newbie post but which A64 do I need to get 3.0 Ghz under good water for a 939 socket? FX-55?
I thought that most A64's were hitting 3.0 Ghz and what I'm seeing here is mostly 2.6 and some 2.8's. Are these the "average" O/C I should expect?
I don't mean to hijack this thread. I just need a quick straight to the point answer or maybe a PM.
If this post is improper in anyway or I should just have made another thread, a mod should please delete it.
Thanks! :toast:
Man, 2,6 and 2,8 are not average.
Some chips hit 3000 or above, some will do 2100. It's basicly luck - but get a 0448 SPAW and you have a good chance :)
But the newer chips rarely hit 2500...
