A few days in since losing a rig and noticing that even if I give one node a whole 50Meg line to run on all by itself I was getting low numbers.
Time to mess around with the settings then.....
My "UD3" rig runs 24/7 these last few days. Now I have it with all the hard errors boxes ticked and threshold at 5, max buckets at 300, max workers at 999 and it seems to do its own regulation quite well. It fluctuates, sure, but all in all things look pretty good.
Running two rigs at night now with the same settings and when the second does not bsod this works too.
Tried it with the laptop on a 6ish Meg line and I see quite a poor conn error rate so I halved the workers to 500.... a bit better but work in progress... there may be a contention issue there or just a really cheap modem/router issue
It's hard to gauge how the settings affect things because of the constantly changing URL load :brick: I had good crawling this past week but now things seem to be slowing down a little.
Welcome back Martijn! :)
