Joining GPUGrid the easy way
(Title stolen from Angmaar's - AKA hotwaxisbad WCG thread.)
First of all, welcome to the team and thank you for any and all contributions: past, present and future. This guide is to help people new to Boinc and/or GPUGrid. Although we here at Xtreme Systems would love to have you on our team, the only thing we ask is that you crunch - doesn't matter for who. Again, thanks for joining, and :welcome:
If anything doesn't make sense, feel free to post or PM me. I'm more than happy to help!
There is a video Walk though here for an overview. Below will go slowly step by step.
First, make sure you have a compatible GPU
Note: this currently only works for Nvidia GPUs. They are working on expanding this, but as of yet they have not released an ATI/AMD beta.

Full list here
Second, Update your drivers here
Make sure to select the correct series, product and OS (remember 32/64 bit!)

This is what mine looks like on a GTX 260M
Version must be >195.xx (we currently recommend 196.xx)

Note: WCG BOINC client does not suport GPGPU as of currently so if you installed that first a reinstall will be necessary. If you uninstall BOINC and reinstall the new one you should NOT lose your current WUs.
Next, download the BOINC client
for Windows 64-bit/32-bit
for Linux 64-bit
By clicking one of the above links, this pop-up will appear. Save the File.

Some tips to maximize results (and Points):
Go to Advanced View
http://i39.tinypic.com/21b2hsi.png
In the toolbar select Advance and scroll down to Preferences (second from top)
http://i42.tinypic.com/m0fmd.png
Check Use while on batteries (Note: this DRASTICALLY reduces Battery life with GPUGrid)
Check Use computer while in use
Check Use GPU while computer is in use
Set While processor use is less than 0% (no restriction)
Make sure that Processor and CPU Time are at 100%
The amount of difference these make depends on your computer and use habits, but it can only boost results.

If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to ask below.
Also, If your CPU is idle, please consider WCG. The best guide I've ever seen is here.
Thanks to MikeB12, PoppaGeek, 123bob for help on this!
Thanks to Angmaar (AKA hotwaxisbad) for his WCG guide!
If you're having trouble with errors, try updating your drivers: (Thanks slaveondope)

Note to volunteers running 8 and 9 series cards: G92 chips may not run KASHIF_HIVPR properly. If you are getting occasional errors but some units complete correctly, this is likely the issue.
