Yeah. Clearly the maximum image quality potential + good FPS of Crysis won't be fulfilled until the next generation. At least NVIDIA and ATi are making "bridges" to the next generation :yepp:

The ~950 mb figure is representing the memory usage in regards to RAM I believe. There's a separate console command you can input to get the VRAM memory usage as well.
Come early next year we will see 30fps at very high settings. It's inevitable. As much as it sucks that Crytek is basically forcing upgrades, it does the tech world a great deed in helping to ramp up technology evolutions.
ha ha
a high def carrot to make you want to buy an expensive g card
ha ha.
yeah seriously, you may actually want to consider tri sli or xfireX (4 way) for this setting of crysis
yah evryones gunna have sli/cf now arent they?
they'll just have to
4x r680 for octo cf. minimum :lol2:
I Just **** My Pants. :o
Hotness
Looks incredible. Wonder what specs it was running on..looked pretty smooth to me despite what the fps counter says.
looks like i will go pick up 3 8800ultra for some tri SLI and play with those settings on say 1280x1024:D .
but for real those look nothing short of spectacular:eek:  thats just put of this world
I just felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of video cards cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced...
:(
Like Oblivion. We probably won't be able to play Crysis maxed out on a high res at 60FPS+ consistent for around a year or so.
No way in hell I would consider 1000-2000 in video cards alone just to play this game unless the gameplay lived up to the visuals...
Having said that, the 2nd to last picture is amazing
Thats wonderful
wow jaw dropping. I guess they didnt lie when they said scaled 2 years ahead.
So this is what... the ULTRA setting? :D :D
Oh... my... goodness... *drool*
... 17fps... he must have had his CPU under LN2 and both his Graphics cards on DICE :p
Some custom maps that you can play with the demo version.
Seth Island-it only shows some engine capabilities.

The Sandbox editor is such a powerfull tool, making it available for non-developers is realy nice.
LE:Played a bit with the sandbox editor did you see that it has 16k resolution for textures?
From what I could tell we play on very high with 4 or 8k.
Yes, very very nice. That's the real face of Crysis.
