Any clues as to a Vdimm mod !!!!!
I'm going to keep this post at the top guys !!!
locate LM358 (between southbridge and DIMM slots), pin6 to GND via 50k VR
Macci does it again :):toast:Quote:

OPP
I went and got one of these P4C800s today, nice mobo, I just hooked it up to my VapoChill, I broke my Prometeia trying to bend the Evap to fit sideways:(
Vapo is doing well though:)

Good luck with the P4C800 Opp !!!;)
It works like most I guess, lower resistance yeilds higer voltage ???Quote:

And where to meassure Vdimm ?
Try the bios for measurment :D
Asus never monitors the memory voltage in their bios !:(
I wish it was that simple
is that chip large enuff to get grabbers on or is it a solder only job?
im getting the asus anyway though.
its quite funny the last asus i ever used was also the last intel rig i ever had, a p2 450 several years ago. the day i go back to intel after using nothing but abit, im gonna end up with an asus again :p
Grabbers work nicely. and lower resistance = higher voltage
Measure voltage from the mosfet near the LM358 chip right next to AGP slot. Find the correct measurement location before you mod it thou (set bios to like 2.85V and find the correct mosfet for 2.85V reading, then install the VR and watch the voltage go up)
great job there macci. :toast:
i've been looking for the vdimm mod for a while too.
the LM chip itself does not support higher than 2.85vdimm? was hoping ASUS could out a bios that does 3.2vdimm :D
max i could get my HyperX 3500 is 231MHz 1:1 2.5-3-3-6.
bandwidth is around 5510mb/sec in sandra.
there's something i dun get
why does running 5:4 (say 250:200) have higher bandwidth than running 1:1(200:200) ?
So your saying start out with the vdimm at it's max of 2.85??Quote:

There you go, for everyone that hasn't found the spot yet for the vmem reading!

Macci m8, great job once again! ;)
Thanks again macci for sharing that with us !!!
:toast:
YES!! THANK YOU macci:)
This should help me get my Twinmos going good.
Raptor that was quick !! I looked around last night for a mosfet I could take a measurement from and couldn't find the right one. That one is hidden under my video card ! hehe
would love to see that pic's link fixed Raptor :smileysex

I just finished the mod, I set the ddr voltage to 2.55 in bios first, then with memory out of the board, adjusted to 2.85v (.3 overvolt) this gave me a range of 2.85-3.15v. when bios is set to 2.85= 3.15v
Will post OC results in an hour or so
Good Luck :)Quote:

I'm heading to Fry's to get a 50k VR, and then I'll see what I can do with this Twinmos.
Also I just used Pin 4 on the chip as grn, so vr goes between Pin 6 and Pin 4
Raptor I hope you don't mind me using your Pic !!! hehe
can we get a pic of the VR solderd in so i know exactly where to put it thanks.
