edit: That's just amazing. Gonna be one helluva CPU!
Sweet Jesus.. Who DO I sign the check out to?
It could bad translation, but the article claims it's a low voltage FX.
:confused:Quote:
"This FX60 is the low voltage version"
You don't think stock Vcore @ 1.30v is low? :)Quote:

Feel free to comment on any differences!
edit: ahh well... something's been messed up. I can't get google's translator to translate it anymore. text just shows up as question marks, anyway above link used to work for me.
Im getting one, will be one of the first here (i hope)
My, oh my....and to think the charge cards just recovered from purchasing the new rig...this will be *essential* to getting the best clocks.
i seen as high as 3.24 ghz
I might be able to get some few days before it hit retail:)
Hmmm, what could I sell to get one of these?
Yeah, lets see how many reach 3ghz on stock air, with stock sink out of 100 user results. if they all did that they wouldn't be clocked at 2600mhz would they?
^^Excellent point ;)
Heheheh.
Iam really not impressed with the FX-60, because overclocks are not guarenteed. 2600mhz is pretty pathetic, no doubt the price of this chip will be stupidly high.
Look at it this way. The first A64's over 2 years ago, the Clawhammer, started at 2.0Ghz and 2.2Ghz for the 3200+ and 3400+. Now in 2 years, AMD have added 200mhz at the most for a non FX CPU, which IMO is pathetic, and a FX-57 costs a stupid amount of money for what it is.
Why Are CPU's so expensive?
mh, well, maybe amd wants to slow down the development of their cpu's clock. as intel isn't able to compete with amd's cpus right now, amd doesn't want to release an even faster cpu than the fx-60.Quote:

Do you realize what is wrong with that statement?Quote:

There are a lot of things to take into consideration and that is why a lot of CPUs overclock much more than they are rated at.
Nothing is wrong with the statement. I said 'stock air', so that means what comes with the CPU. Besides i thought FX CPU's came with a much beefier sink anyways, it's certanly a lot better than a stock heatsink.Quote:

Sure they will will probly overclock a bit more than a good opteron, but IMO, thats still pretty unimpressive.
