My hunt is over

Well after wanting it for ages, things finally went right last night:

Socket 754 WR @ 40K, dry ice cooling (Chilly1 => CPU, Jason [old] => GPU)

That's my way of going out with a bang http://www.pirelly.nl/smiley/bigsmile.gif I hope I aquitted myself well :)

I've had 181fps Car High before, but it just wouldn't give it up to me on that run. Also, as you may see I mentioned in my Compare URL, there is extra satisfaction in it for me because this X800 was labelled K.I.A. less than a week ago, but I've fixed it :cool: No small feat with my klutzy soldering skillz. Nice little comeback.

It's also pleasing to prove to myself that all this time spent learning on the forums hasn't been wasted..... that I really can hang with the big guys :gamer:

Great job William... :toast: 40k with socket 754/x800 is excellent.
Way to go on not giving up on the card man....people give up way too easy. It takes work sometimes to get these scores. I'm impressed.

Even though things got pretty frosty on the GPU, I had nary a problem :D I like to think that I insulate pretty well ;)

Truthfully I don't know. This X800 isn't as good as me last one I don't think (which did 756mhz 1.77v, didn't try more V's), but I didn't full finish testing this one. When I got it to 725mhz (at ~1.8v I think) I knew that would be enough and I didn't push higher. It may have gone further, assuming I could pump more volts into it (1.9-2.0v) :)
