Any successful high HTT clocks on the Asus A8N Sli board? I can't get over 245HTT no matter what settings I use. This is on an Athlon64 3000+ 0440SPMW CPU, which on my Neo2 can get well over 300 HTT no problem. The bios is the beta 1003 bios.

wierd.. the sli boards are supposed to get really high htt... ur sure its no ur memory controller?? i know u said u had it on a neo2, but it cant hurt to mention it.
If the chip has been stable at 300htt+ on another board than it's not the memory controller.
Probly need a new bios....I think OPB mentioned about A8N SLI, I forgot which thread....
I'm on the newest bios... I havent' heard anyone with an Asus SLI board hit high frequencies yet. I've seen high multi clocks though...but I only have a 3000+
i have the same problem! Bios 1003.01 242x13 1/1 or 282x11 but memory at 333 pass 245 i have more than 15000 errors at memtest with my former Neo2 i can bench at 300 with that ram! Shamino did his record at 279x11 so he has a solution...
man, where do you all get the nF4-boards?!?!
sorry....double post
Max vcore is 1.65V? Until bios revision, prolly vcore mod?Quote:

I've also noticed that I can't seem to get the CPU vcore higher than 1.5v, despite the max vcore in the options being 1.65v. Anyone else experience this?
would the two cards need to be the same exact clocks when in SLI setup? or would the load balancing be able to compensate for the lower clocked card.
yes they would need the same overclocks..
eh..what the reason ? :confused:Quote:

I can see that now... the bios is crappy. Hopefully it'll shine with a bios update.
 he also said that about the epox board, and that board is pretty good after allQuote:

They tried to rush new mobo to retail channels. I think thats why dfi kinda late to release nforce3 GB cause they made sure the bios is at least workin 99%.........
Is like release new mobo, gain a momentum in sales and work on bios update down the road......
Well just like many reviewer's if you noticed, OPB gets stuff from these 2 companies before anyone else here really does. MSI, Gskill. Also, if you noticed, his overclocking for each of these parts are unmatched by others.
Can we say cherry picked? :)
Of course, his input will be biased since cherry picked ones will do much better than luck of draw.
How can you explain the shamino's overclocking with "Asus sucks" kind of comment?
Right now, I am more interested in benchers who have to get their stuff with their money giving comments on these rather than manufacturer supplied ones. We see TCCDs barely going from 260-320+ mhz!!! I wouldn't get TCCD based on idea that it will most likely do 320+... nor most of you. These kind of variance exists on all components we buy (hopefully not the PSU and few other core ones which we don't over clock :P) and can't be decided based on single unit comparison.
We shall wait and see as more of these board make it to hands of bleeding edgers who were quick enough to get their hand on few outlets such as directron. (out of all the places, they put it in stock like 2 hours after I checked the site... lol)
At least I know that zippy700 won't let me down :toast:
Edit: Its on the way to feed my starving cpu and other components.....(sorry oot)
The 'crappy' bios on the Asus wont put me off. Im after one here in the Uk once they become availilbe.
btw does the booster work on the A8N-SLI?
stable at 350X5 here :)
I find that hard to beilve, 750Mhz overclock on the HHT, making it 2000MHz defualt and 3500MHz as yours. Sorry i don't by that.
Should be back in stock soon - but if you want to use the OCZ booster, just wait for the DFI! 2.1 vcore and 4.0 vdimm :toast:Quote:
